AMC and OLTL Canceled!

There we do agree. Despite his love for GH I think from the very little he says about its future he's just ready to get out of the soaps all together.,

Oh yeah. I think he was very obvious about that. GH will get another year or two, but I don't expect it to last longer than fall 2013. Still, I'm glad they didn't cancel all 3 today. It would have been too much. I'm not as sad about this as I thought I would be. I guess the rumors prepared me for the sorry news.

I'm sitting here wondering why anyone thought LB was going to change things. It's very clear, IMO that Frons already dictated the end, LB is just driving the bus off the cliff. Rylee will without a shadow of a doubt be endgame. (On a very selfish note, THANK GOD I don't have to hear anymore talk of David/Greenlee and how LB is going to go there again, she ain't folks.)

Call me naive, but I dunno. We haven't even seen them much lately, and LB didn't seem a fan during the months she wrote last year... But I don't put anything past Frons

Catherine Hickland on the twitter:

"I spoke to Michael E Knight this morning and he sends his love to the fans whom he adores. He is grateful to you all."

^_^ So nice to know.

..even coming from the bitch who dumped him. for Ray Liotta. LMFAO! Not winning! ^_^

How GREAT would it be if NBC decided to pick up OLTL?

It'll never happen. NBC has been trying to flick Days off like a sticky booger for years now. No way would they pick up another soap.

I mean...Search for Tomorrow and EON both changed networks..

But they were PGP owned.

ABC owns both AMC and OLTL, why would they sell it to another network and make even LESS profit from it? At the end of the day, it would still be their property.

I just don't see them NOT ending up together. Not after everything and every HW that we've heard they're destiny. We'll see, but I don't see him giving up his hold now.

Why bother wondering why people think anything? It should be understandable that there are fans who seek a silver-lining to this dark cloud. I happen to give LB more credit than just driving a bus over a cliff, and honestly don't care enough about Ryan / Greenlee to focus on them (and even if their wedding is part of the show's conclusion, I seriously doubt the conclusion will center on such).

But the only thing that's clear right now is that we won't know for certain what will be happening, in terms of story, until it actually makes it to spoiler / shows up on our screens. We can either choose to tune in for it, or tell ourselves it's going to be horrible and decide to not watch. I'm going to go with the first choice; I don't want to end up wondering what I missed out on.

For me, the news is sad enough as it is. Beating the crap out of a show's final months before the scenes even air isn't going to make me feel any better. I figure I might as well make the best of it. I'll remain hopeful that we'll be given a satisfying conclusion to both shows.

They will break up, no doubt about that. They arent legally married bc Ricky is a fake minister. A wedge will be driven between them due to Emma's problems, Madison's baby and Greenlee's lies. LB may not write them together for long but I have no doubt that they will reunite by late August, just in time for a finale wedding in September. This all seems pretty much a given. I dont see thjem ending the show with other people. Most soaps like to end with a wedding bc its a happy occasion and its an excuse to have a party and bring the entire cast together. With the way they've been built up, I think Rylee is the most likely candidate to get a wedding. I dont see that going to Scott/Madison, Kendall/Griffin or any other new couple. At most, Rylee might get a double wedding with Jack and Erica

Oh don't get me wrong, unless they do somehow bring Leo back which I don't expect, Rylee will end up together. But I don't think they'll be the top focus in the final months. Again--call me naive I prob will be eating my words.

Awww...Angie. Seeing Zen back in your avatar makes me happy yet sad at the same time. :(

LOL me too

Seeing the current ratings, it's heartbreaking, AMC can't stop bleeding viewers even when there was rumors of cancellation

*Exactly how I feel*. I get why some think it makes me seem like a deluded Pollyanna :P And I also get why it helps some fans to concentrate on how bad it could be if it went on, and this is for the best, etc--but I just can't think that way.

Those are great words from RR.

AMC is where GL was during its cancellation. Its not gaining any viewers and OLTL is ATWT.
