I make my own nail polish. And, the other day I made this sassy reddish orange color and named it Dorian Gourd. Doing my nails with it right now. In memorial of Robin VICTORY IN EUROPE Strasser's character.

For me too. I honestly felt AMC was on an upswing--and despite how much I complain about OLTL's current state I admit I'll miss it almost as much. I kinda now get how strongly people reacted about ATWT and GL's cancelation even more now--it honestly does make me think things like how I never want to watch an ABC show again in my life, as nonsensical as that is I know. And I was thinking I could start watching GH or Y&R more now and switch over but really,I have no desire to watch another network soap. (And I really don't see GH lasting all that much longer now...)

I dont watch much soaps anymore. I catch one here and there. I've gotten back into the telenovelas.

Oh wow Chris Jericho tweeted this:

I can't believe they're canceling All My Children!! I watched EVERY single episode from '83-85...Greg and Jenny were my faves. How bout u?

I love it when unexpected soap fans come out of the woodwork.

George Stephanopoulos on ABC News: "Coming up, the TV news that has millions of women posting memories online." Or something like that. "Women." Sums it all the f!ck up exactly why these shows are going off the air.

ANd now they can all be excited and lose weight with ABC Daytime! WOOT. Lucky, poor stuck at home women (who of course had no other better option to watch healthy cooking shows and fashion shows on cable or the Internet--this really is gonna revitalize network daytime tv).

1.5 minute interview on ABC World News. Really ABC no IN-DEPTH interviews why do they treat soaps like this

I dont see why ABC WORLD News would even cover soaps 1.5 min seems like more than Id expect it to be featured on that outlet anyway

To whom it may concern... May your Karma be SWIFT

Okay, Im finally with DeeDee. Can she STFU already

Very true, when GL was cancelled, that freed up my afternoons at least for an hour. Now with AMC and OLTL going, that pretty much eradicates my daytime viewing altogether, aside from the occasional check in with DAYS.

My DVD recording has ended. I dont set it before I go to work. I had no more soaps to record after ATWT was cancelled.

What can I say guys? I think I'm officially done with soaps today, I've lost confidence in the people who make decisions on these soaps' future. I know the remaining three will be gone in the coming years. I loved watching GH lately but I'm done with GH also. I might've just watched SoapNet for the final time since they've only got 8 more months to go until their done.

I still can't believe they canceled two popular soaps on the same day. Even though these shows might've not gotten the viewership they gotten in their heyday back in the 70s and 80s people still loved these shows whether they were watching them or not.

It's amazing though Univision got 9.7 million viewers with one of its telenovelas this past week and it got me thinking how American soaps have been neglected and soaps in the rest of the world are still doing just fine. Even soaps on the webs are pulling in huge numbers. I hope soaps can resurface back one day but now I'm only hoping.

Again I'm done with soaps today this is it for me I can't take it anymore.

With amc/oltl gone soon my daytime days are over. Only way I will tune in is if SL goes to another soap.

Sorry for the long post... Obviously, I had a lot to say - things I had been conservative about mentioning here before. Now I feel more comfortable saying them... and thank you for letting me get this all out.

Thanks for sharing :)

May I ask which soap mag you worked for? I was thisclose to interning at Soap Opera Weekly but turned it down. Can't remember if that was 2004 or 2005.

They don't air here LOL though I prob will watch the UK soaps that do more regularly now... Or we'll see. At this point I just don't have the heart.

I wonder what hilarious thing Snoop Dogg is going to say.

I just realized that when these shows go, I'll be most likely done with soaps, unless I can get caught up in DAYS this summer. We shall see. Nevertheless, I'll be done with current soaps, but I can just catch up on the tons of episodes on YouTube.

Same. I detest her ass anyways...So. Yeah, I just kinda want her to STFU. (Though, I'll always love the Lindsay character on OLTL)
