Mark Moses can never not be an assh*le LOL

That ending was intense. Saul was with them, Aayan getting his head blown off, Carrie wanting to bomb them all & almost attacking one of her subordinates. Damn.

Carrie's verbal assault of Fara was completely unwarranted. I mean, we've always seen them getting along and suddenly Carrie was acting like she hates her. It feels some scenes were missing inbetween lol But later Fara WAS a complete idiot not realizing someone had come in & not putting two and two together.

I am terrified for Carrie. They'll mess with their meds now that they know and we all know where that leads. (to great drama!)

You are so right. This changes everything. It leaves it wide open to any number of paths. Yay!

The Carrie hallucination sequences were exceptional. Claire Danes DID. THAT!! It was so good, I just about felt as if I was right there with her, and in the same trance. The last scene when f-cking BRODY appeared out of nowhere completely got me, I was believing that mess and on the verge of tears. LOL. DAMN this show. I must say though that I actually hate this twist, this disgusting twist of the ambassadors trifling husband switching Carrie's meds. While it provided more stunning Claire Danes work, I can't help but be disappointed the show chose the crazy crutch again w/her. It's so old and I would've rather seen Carrie strong for this. Would've been great to see her realize her meds didn't look or feel the same and get help/try to find out who switched them ASAP. Right now, It's riveting yet painful to watch. I desperately need to see Professor Boyd get lynched for this before the season ends.

That was a bold, shocking scene with Saul & Haqqani debating 9/11 & Al Qaeda at the table. I admire the shows fearlessness with exploring that topic. Saul's "You're teaching an entire generation to leave one foot in the after life" comment especially stood out. OMG, so intense.

WHAAAAAT. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Carrie's hallucinations. I just have no words. Danes is terrific at them! Have we just seen Emmy #3 (or at least, nomination)?

Agreed - the twist with her meds is so painful and feels like we've been there before but we are getting some amazing material out of it.

BRODY!!! My God, it felt so good to have him back, even for a little bit. He is such a big part of the fabric of the show, even if they've moved on in a way. I knew the sexy general was at the house but I didn't expect Carrie to see him as Brody. OMG.

Basically everything AllMyDays said.

It was a brilliant little scene, especially since it made good points for both sides. HOMELAND does well when it serves up this kind of ambiguity.

This motherf-cking show! OMG, it plays too many games w/me. It's soo good but not, but just is. The Saul scenes were thrilling & maddening. Honestly, they should've killed him off right there. Would've been perfect - Carrie keeping her promise to him in the end.

^^ LOVING this low key dude. Anyone else want him & Carrie to have hot sex by the end of the season. So glad he's on her side & gave her all the goods on Boyd! This is going to be GLORIOUS watching the CIA nail that buffoon. I especially can't wait to see Martha finding out about her trifling husband.

...Pumped!

After watching episode 8 I was so bloody satisfied when Carrie realized what the hell happened that I forgive everything that lead up to it. I mean, thinking about it, we had to know it was coming. LOL. They threw in that wrench to up the drama, and spark up this relationship with Carrie/General Khan, so I'm cool w/it now. Eating crow. I was so worried that Khan was against Carrie and going to hold her captive or some sh!t and It's just so refreshing that that's not the case. This is really good stuff I think. Wow.

Oh and Danes has to be nominated and WIN. The show must be in the running and win again as well. I mean as frustrated as I've been with this season, it has still been top notch in the story/thrill department more than ever and the last 4 eps are shaping up to be outstanding. After a rocky 3rd season, the show is back in supreme fashion and deserves a shot at all the top prizes next year. LOVING it and can't wait to see what they have in store for season 5. Stoked.

    • I don't really care about what the men are wearing, or not wearing.   What I care about is focusing on the writing and character development for each of the male characters. Andre really doesn't have a lot of character development that sets him apart from the other male characters except that he seems content to be degraded and mistreated by the elitist Dani.  I would like to know why a good looking younger guy like Andre would willingly be at the mercy of an emotional vampire such as Dani.   Martin, on the other hand, seems to have decent character development.. and it is partly due to how the actor chooses to recite his lines.  Martin was raised in a very privileged household and probably went to the best schools... so it makes sense that he would come across as thinking he was above everyone else.  Most people raised in a upper class situation as the Duprees would view themselves as better than others (it's the same trait Dani seems to employ on those she feels superior to). It makes me wonder how Nicole came out of that family being so warm and nurturing  when her family dynamics seemed very appearance oriented.
    • I know, right. I after just re-reading the thread, I'm like ooppph!
    • Lulu and Dante were divorced before her coma, but she was still in love with him.  He just didn't know.  They haven't been married for years.    I was pretty mixed about Lulu getting involved when it was just a child out there in the world, but now that she realizes it's Gio I am okay with her telling Dante.  It also is her son's sibling.  I still think it's BLQ's choice though.  Lulu is in a rough spot because I think Dante will be mad if she keeps it a secret and Chase, Brook, Lois, etc will be mad if Lulu tells. Without veering too far into the classic area of the show, I had no problem with Robin telling AJ about Michael.  It may not have *exactly* been her place, but she could see how Carly was manipulating the entire situation.  It also ruined her romantic relationship with Jason for good.  Jason and Sonny were furious with Robin and practically ran her out of town, so I think we were to believe she was the bad guy.  It was a bit out of character for Robin to spill, but KMc was leaving the show.
    • Rewatching/binging THE X-FILES Seasons 1 and 2 (almost done). So much fun re-experiencing, especially re-discovering some of the monster-of-the-week stories. THE WEST WING Seasons 1 and 2 as well - so good to rewatch now with 20 years more life experience and understanding. ALSO.... lol FOOTBALLERS' WIVES Season 3, which is just as bonkers as I remember and so so so so fun. I had forgotten about that iconic season cliffhanger. Good times. Excited to rewatch Seasons 4 and 5 since I remember so very little about them. Hope you've been enjoying!
    • @Toups Tyler Topits listed in alpha order with the breakdown writers 5/12 Monday episode. O'Connor still listed as both breakdown and script writer. Kreizman wrote today's script.
    • Marland was long gone by this point.  He quit in either August/September 1982. I think it was due to letting the actress play out her contract and use her for party scenes and/or scenes with Phillip/Justin.   I was surprised she was still on in June 1983 myself, because I figured she had been written out before Pam Long joined the writing staff. Thankfully, having episodes uploaded during this period on Spauldingfield YT site has helped to connect some of the dots.  It looks as though Pam Long starts the first week or so of May 1983.. and in those first few weeks: Morgan and Evie were both written off and Lillian/Mindy/Billy/Beth/Annabelle all come onto the show.
