Love it

Now sure what you mean by "Dru-like Frankie/Randi spoiler" but can VR have an inappropriate attraction to Frankie and cougar him... no way Frankie can handle a real woman like VR but it would be fun seeing him trying to keep up with her

Here are my ideas for a character portrayed by Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla, Y&R), should she come aboard AMC:

1. Introduce her as Dr. Sara Marshall, a family therapist who helps Greenlee, Madison, Ryan and Scott get through to Emma, who continues to have problems adjusting to Annie's absence and Greenlee's "intrusion" into her and Ryan's lives. Emma clearly wants her, Ryan and Madison to be a family, despite Ryan's constantly telling Emma that that isn't going to happen. When VR's character suggests a change of environment for Emma (away from Madison and Scott), Emma overhears, panics and runs away from home. Fortunately, Emma is found trying to visit Annie at the sanitarium - but not before the stress of the situation causes Madison to go into premature labor. (VR's character, who has been to medical school, is there to help Madison get to the hospital.) Ryan and Madison's baby is stillborn; and as Ryan welcomes the safe return of one child, he must also grieve the loss of another. Ultimately, Madison and Scott decide that leaving Pine Valley would be best for all concerned, allowing Ryan, Greenlee and Emma time to learn to be a family again.

2. As Sara continues working with the Laverys, at the same time, she becomes friendly with Jesse. By this point, the truth about the baby-switch has been revealed. Although Angie and Jesse are still together, their relationship is strained. As Angie finds an unlikely sympathetic shoulder in David, Jesse (and Frankie) turns more and more to Sara for help in reconciling with his wife. At the same time, too, Sara helps Jesse confront other issues (including his history of mental instability, as well as his past relationship w/ Rebecca) that might have contributed to his and Angie's problems. With Sara's guidance, Jesse sees that part of the problem lies in his need to make everything in life perfect for himself, for Angie, and for their family. He also sees that maybe he isn't cut out to be police chief, a first step toward his eventual re-transformation into nightclub owner. When Jesse decides to quit the force and re-open The Steam Pit, he shares the news with Sara, instead of Angie, as well as a kiss. Unfortunately, Angie, who shows up to share the wonderful news of her sight returning, walks in on the two and splits before either can stop her. Jesse and Sara agree that their kiss cannot go any further; however, Angie, devastated, ends up spending the night with David....

3. As soon as Angie learns that Jesse and Sara are not having an affair, she regrets her indiscretion with David. Angie tells Jesse the truth, but Jesse convinces her not to give up on their marriage. However, David is just as convinced Angie and Jesse do not belong together anymore (and he especially resents the intrusion of Tad, who still remembers how he (David) came between him and Dixie). As the rest of the Hubbards and others help Jesse prepare for his club's reopening, David attempts to find some way to sabotage the whole thing. Marissa catches onto her father, though, and begs him to allow Jesse and Angie to be together and at peace. David acquiesces for his daughter's sake, yet drops a major bombshell on Tad. On the night of the reopening, David tells Tad a secret he has been keeping for years and waiting for the perfect moment to level him with: Adam Chandler was wrong, and Kathy is not his and Dixie's daughter.

4. Although Tad loves Kathy very much, he must begin again the quest to find his missing child. Fortunately, Sara offers help in the form of her younger brother, Justin, an FBI agent who works with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. With his help, Tad learns "Kate" is being raised by a wealthy family in Washington, D.C., whose considerable affluence or clout (among other things, the family's patriarch sits on the board of directors at Chandler Enterprises) will nevertheless make it difficult to reclaim his daughter so easily. (Plus, there's the secret that the girl's adoptive father, and the patriarch's son, is sexually abusing her....) Meanwhile, Tad and Sara grow closer, but the road to romance proves rocky when Sara accidentally lets slip to Justin how Tad told her in confidence the part he played in Greg Madden's death. (Tad is arrested on charges stemming from that, adding further complications toward getting his daughter back, and leading Tad to his ultimate act of escaping from jail and abducting his own kid. Tad and "Kate," now on the run, settle in Oregon, with new identities, where he goes to work as a logger and meets a Dixie lookalike named Bekka.) And Justin as well creates tension within the Hubbard family when he and Randi become attracted to each other, leaving Frankie on the outs with Randi, and Angie on the outs with Sara.

I thought I was the only one who despised Trevor marrying Janet! I'm all for redemption, but I never could swallow Trevor sleeping with her after everything she put him & Natalie through.

As far as what stories Broderick should tell:

1. Rylee's breakup. The foundation is there with Greenlee getting Scott out of jail to date Madison. Now it's time for that secret to come out and Ryan to flash back to how Greenlee stalked him & Gillian years ago. He needs to let Greenlee know he could never love her like he did his true love.

2. Cortlandt versus Chandler. This story has fallen flat because Caleb's beef is with Adam, not JR, and it seems silly when both men work out of their homes instead of at the company. It's time for Fusion to fail so Kendall and Greenlee can find jobs at these companies, with Greenlee joining JR and Kendall Caleb & her mother. Let the games begin when JR notices how attractive his new employee is. Also, anytime Broderick can get Julia Barr and David Canary to make a guest appearance would only make the show better.

3. Jack & Erica need to marry and stay together! It's time for them to start working on being in a relationship and dealing with real life issues, like their health (did Erica even go through menopause?).

    • I'm pretty sure Lucy and Bridget never even have another scene together for the rest of the time they're both on the show. Bridget isn't even invited to the wedding! The lack of community feeling and continuity of non-romantic relationships during this period is very jarring. Characters suddenly only seem to interact with a handful of other characters, rather than characters across the canvas. I'm deep into 1997 in my watch right now and find that it's even stranger because the show goes back and forth between ignoring history in order to manufacture some kind of separation between characters (for example, at one point Amanda refers to the Coopers as a family that the Spauldings "barely know," despite her and Alan spending the better part of 1996 going to war with Buzz over 5th street, and Alan has absolutely no reaction when he finds out about something bad that's happened to Abby, which seems pretty out of character given how close they were in 95/96) and ignoring history in order to create a sense of community that doesn't quite fit (characters who couldn't stand Amanda are suddenly acting all buddy buddy with her). The wheels really feel like they're coming off in 1997 (although I know some would argue that the wheels started to come off years earlier). Watching the Marcus/Dahlia romance again from a 2025 perspective is so weird. Marcus is a full grown man who must be at least in his mid-20s and he's dating a teenager who is not only still in high school, but is still fully a year away from graduation, and no one says anything about how creepy that is. I feel like the buzz around Marcus gave the illusion that the show was more invested in him than it ever actually was. Even during his "big" story where he's arrested for Cutter's murder, he actually doesn't appear on screen very often. He's imprisoned, Griffin is brought on, other characters make a fuss about trying to get him out, but there's a long stretch of time where he doesn't appear at all. I've been keeping episode counts while I watch and between Cutter's death in mid-November of 1995 and the end of the year Marcus/Mambo only appears 7 times (and of that only twice in December).
    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
