Members Kylie
Oh hell, at this point, if I can tell her my name...it'll be a victory. If I managed something like this, I'd be my own hero! LOL But I will try.
Members Clear Drama
That's the question no one is able to ask these writers. Or actors, fine Lorraine is back, DOES SHE HAVE 100% CREATIVE CONTROL! No soap columnist has come close to asking that question. They always dodge it. Members Jonathan
I have the same problem too. Just write it down on an index card and hand it to her.
Members Khan
I think Frons will let Broderick have free reign at the start. If the ratings don't improve the way he wants them to, though, he'll step in and micromanage the [!@#$%^&*] out of her material.
Members Clear Drama
You see that's my somewhat thoughts on this, but LoBro would be too smart for this, so she wouldn't return at the head of the helm w/o free reign and a guarantee that she gets her money no matter what. I'd say she has a 1 yr. free reign, at the very least 6 mths. and if ratings don't improve AMC is off air.
Members aMLCproduction
I'm n the crowd that. Says frons gave. LB. Full creative control. It makes sense to me. Why be. HW. Now n ot so last year when she was asked
Members dragonflies
Frons give free creative control? Only if someone ties him up and locks him in a closet for a year Not gonna happen. LB is getting a sweet deal all around who'd pass that up, where you get paid even if the show is cancelled
Administrator Toups Posted April 8, 2011 Administrator Share Posted April 8, 2011 I doubt that.
Members Clear Drama
But the thing isn't about that. Point is she wouldn't return w/ someone over seeing her every move or certain stories. Lorraine is too smart for that, keep in mind, Lorraine doesn't need this, AMC searched for her, so again I think for her to enter the picture, she just wouldn't unless she was given free reign, pressure wasn't on her, it was AMC. Members dragonflies
Wouldn't the show have to pay her the rest of her contract? We don't know that and Frons NEVER gives creative control to anyone, never has, never will. Tis why the ABC soaps are in the shape they're in. Administrator Toups Posted April 8, 2011 Administrator Share Posted April 8, 2011 Pretty sure they don't. That would be a very bad contract on ABC's part, and Lorraine doesn't have that kind of leverage.

Members Clear Drama
Lorraine isn't the type to take a job under someone else's condition, especially a buffoon like Frons.
