I think Frons will let Broderick have free reign at the start. If the ratings don't improve the way he wants them to, though, he'll step in and micromanage the [!@#$%^&*] out of her material.

Lorraine is too smart for that, keep in mind, Lorraine doesn't need this, AMC searched for her, so again I think for her to enter the picture, she just wouldn't unless she was given free reign, pressure wasn't on her, it was AMC.

Pretty sure they don't. That would be a very bad contract on ABC's part, and Lorraine doesn't have that kind of leverage.
