April 6, 201114 yr Member So MAB only cared because of the Oprah appearance. More stunt casting. Francis. I never watched, but honestly, that’s no insult to them. I don’t even watch the shows I’m on. I’m more into doing that than watching. And I have a hard time watching myself. No wonder she had no reservations about joining - she hasn't seen just how much Y&R hates women. I hope she has better writing than the other ladies do.
April 6, 201114 yr Member As bad as this show has become in the past years, I would actually tune back in to see Genie. Stay hooked, that's another story.
April 6, 201114 yr Member She would've made a great recast Dr. Casey Reed, Nikki's sister. Can you imagine two soap goddesses like GF and MTS sharing screen time. I agree! Casting at Y&R never think of things like that, creating all of these new characters when they should focuus on the past characters: the brooks sisters, casey, snapper, greg, brock, etc.
April 6, 201114 yr Member Don't forget about the brilliant Patty return... SYMPHONIES Carl! SYMPHONIES!
April 12, 201114 yr Author Member From SOD When daytime star Genie Francis (ex-Laura, GH et al) joins YOUNG AND RESTLESS in late May, her character will be named Genevieve. "This is going to be a very, very different character than we've seen Genie Francis portray," teases Co-Head Writer Scott Hamner.
April 12, 201114 yr Member Genevieve is a beautiful name. I don't care what Bell and Hamner do. I'm glad that Genie is working regularly and that she and Tristan get to work together.
April 16, 201114 yr Member I will be surprised if Jess is still around in a year. I guess Jess never being on an ABC soap is a mortal sin.
April 16, 201114 yr Member I will be surprised if Jess is still around in a year. I guess Jess never being on an ABC soap is a mortal sin. I really hope she can hang in there. She IS Y&R, at least for me. When she goes, I go. In a way, it would be easier if she just quit and then I could walk away from Y&R without any regrets. She's the only reason I tune in.
