Members AlexElizabeth
Wow, kudos to GH! And I'm glad to see that OLTL gained viewers too.
Members LoyaltoAMC
Wow, Y&R with a 3.1 in its dailies. Is that a new low? I knew GH would rise. Happy that AMC at least held steady in the demos. Hopefully next week will see at least a slight increase.
Members Gray Bunny
Last place, DAYS? Get it together girl... Just because you look like the cheapest show, doesn't mean your ratings have to reflect it.
Members JackPeyton
NBC only cares about 18-49, so they are still pretty good. Tho if the show was better ratings overall would be up. The past few years have proven that actually. Hopefully it turns around soon, because while im enjoying it it is flaws aside.. and the flaws are many. Members dragonflies
Wow, on the heels of cancellation rumors, AMC sinks even furthur, guess all that rallying to save the show isn't working...........
Members DRW50
I feel sad about AMC. I can't believe they are too far gone to get a ratings boost - they got a big one only a few years ago. I guess that's the choice - a ratings boost that might produce some godawful viewing or staying where they are, not great but sort of OK, and being canned. OLTL is just awful these days and while I could tell myself that the ratings might have gone up because of David's rescue and reunion with Dorian, I won't be surprised if it was down to the continued exploitation of rape and molestation, which probably gets an audience. This just guarantees the show will never let Tess go and that trash like Aubrey, the Fords, Cookie Cutter, etc. will continue to clog up the drain. Not surprised about Y&R. This has happened quite a few times over the years. Viewers hang on, trying to be loyal, and then give up. In the past this brought major changes, but MAB is too arrogant to change anything for the better and no one else seems to care.
Members Kimmiemae
I'm glad OLTL got a bump and gained in viewers for whatever the reason is. At least they can still get viewers to tune in for returns and good story arcs whereas, AMC's big weddings didn't help bring up the ratings. I hate to see any soap get bad ratings. I'm really sad about Days ratings. I love this show despite DH's horrible story vision.
Members Kylie
I'd rather AMC get cancelled than turned into OLTL. Yeah I said it, and I mean it. It'd rather let GH and OLTL be the "representation" of ABC Daytime. AMC is a lot of things, but I haven't actually felt offended, disrespected and looked down upon as a women, since the unabortion. I feel that a lot during OLTL, and GH for that matter. But GH is the golden child, so I won't even bother to complain about it.

Members DRW50
Yesterday when all the "ABC screwed up, Genie is their loss and Y&R gain" I just kept thinking, "Really?" and the ratings are a reminder of why. GH doesn't need vets to get a ratings boost - all they have to do is continue the carnage.
Members Jane1978
How they are pretty good? They used to be in the 1.2-1.4 range in the 18-49 demo and above 1.0 in 18-34. Now they have trouble to even stay in 1.0 in 18-49 and their young demos are completely attrocious and we only just entered April. I can´t even imagine what the demos will be on summer. As for the HH, those Thursday and Friday numbers are scary as well. Usually when DAYS loses badly one week it gains it back the next, but it seems they are in a freefall now. Soon they will have even trouble to stay above 2 milions. Not good at all.
Members marceline
And maybe it's just time to accept that as the reality. We're always seeing talk about people wanting to see "love in the afternoon" but that's not what they tune in for. They tune in for explosions and car crashes. They tune in for the abuse and exploitation of women. Perhaps it's time to realize that soaps will go out with a bang after all. And a hostage crisis and a serial killer and a couple of rapes. Members DRW50
I'm starting to see that. I will always think viewers would come back with stronger quality stories, but those viewers have been so burned they may not return at this point. Members Southofnowhere
If box baby and Erica's upcoming sl don't get at least a short-term bump then AMC is dead!
Members fanOLTL
I don't watch AMC (I only watch OLTL), but I have to admit "box baby" peaked my interest. LOL. What the hell is that about?
