That doesn't make sense to me, either. Going through the trouble of hiding and moving the child, slitting throats and then handing Brenda a child that's not even hers is... anticlimactic.

why would she give her a child that is hers? Suzanne hates Brenda bc Brenda killed her son. Just a few weeks ago, she wanted to see Brenda suffer. She could be given her Lucian so she could grow attached to him, love him, only to rip him away from her further down the line, causing Brenda even more pain. I dont see why Suzanne would care to give Brenda her son back when A) Brenda didnt know he was alive and hence wasnt searching for him and she hates Brenda

Suzanne wasnt on Theo or Brenda's side; she's on her own side. Theo looked like he would have easily killed her over the child and once he had the kid, thats very well what might have happened for her betrayal. She took him out before he got a chance to do the same to her

Oh, for God's sake, that's incredibly convoluted. So... (inhales)... Suzanne was mad at Theo for turning Alexander into a monster. Suzanne was mad at Brenda for killing Alexander. So, being mad at both Theo AND Brenda, Suzanne steals Brenda's baby, tells both Brenda and Theo the baby is dead, sends the baby off, Theo finds out about the baby, kills the kids parents, then Suzanne kills Theo, finds a random kid and passes it off as Brenda's while the real kid is off somewhere all just to mess with Brenda's head? (exhales)

Wasn't that the purpose of telling Brenda her child was dead in the first place? To mindfck Brenda? So now Suzanne played with Brenda's head, only to undo it, just to do it again?

And we haven't even gotten to what she could possibly gain from this.

I'm extremely confused.
