Peggy McCay and Frank Parker were hired for recurring for Marlena & Roman's wedding in 1983, but when Peggy found out she would only have a few lines of dialogue in each episode, and no storyline, she quickly left. The second Caroline, Jody Carter, hardly spoke. She was only in two episodes and maybe said a total of 2 or 3 lines of dialogue.

Barbara Beckley & Lew Brown were around for just over a year from 1984 to 1985. Once they decided to make Caroline & Shawn contract characters, Peggy & Frank were back in the roles.

Peter MacLean filled in for a few months after Frank had been taken off contract in 1989, but Frank was back pretty quickly and placed back on contract and stayed until Shawn's death.

Actually, Brian Robert Taylor portrayed Thomas McCandless on Capitol, not Tyler. Taylor was replaced by Michael Catlin. David Mason Daniels was the original Tyler McCandless.

Phil MacGregor went on to Loving. He originated the role of Linc Beecham but was replaced by Brian Robert Taylor who had been the first Tyler on Capitol before being replaced by Dane Witherspoon who had been the first Joe on Santa Barbara before being replaced by Mark Arnold who had replaced Joey Alan Phipps as Kelly on Edge of Night!!

Poor Mackenzie Mauzy. She had a tough act to follow as Lizzie considering she replaced the awesome Hayden P.

Though, having her as song bird Phoebe on B&B was a bad move...considering the American Idol reject that was on the show...I want to forget about that summer.

Yes, last i heard/saw of her she was working in the WWE. Tho, she has done a lot. Really, all the Marah's have.

Ashley Peldon has done a lot of guest spots and a few movies. Kim J Brown had a few years of hit movies on Disney. Laura Bell Bundy took on broadway and is now a country singer. And Lindsay McKeon is always popping up on shows.

They generally did a good job casting Marah and Shayne, although I didn't like the work from McKeon (dull) or Marty West (the Liberace of the Lewises).

It's too bad they did such a bad job with recasting Mindy and Billy...
