Members ellabelle
It's pretty awesomely bad. She wrote some really interesting characters in that book. It's kind of hard to read at first because you're reading both what's happening to the actors AND what's happening to the characters they play, but the two are really intertwined. The weak parts of the book to me were the parts where the main character Kate tries to have a love life away from the show and the actual ending of the book - I got to the end and thought "WTF? That's IT?"
Members JackPeyton
Finola's book, Soapsuds, is a very light, fun, and interesting read for soap fans. You should def check it out. I bought it when going to vegas one time and laid by the pool and read the whole thing in a few hours.
Members VirginiaHamilton
Would you happen to know if the character that was Calysta's best friend (I think her name was Justine) was based on ED or SC? That was the only one that had me stumped.
Members nightstar
The Y&R Set seems really toxic. So Will JC be punished for her son CB comments about the show
Members kalbir
I was stumped by the best friend too, but my guess would be SC. VR said in interviews near the end of her run that she liked working with SC. I couldn't spot any character based on ED.
Members Antoyne
What did Corbin say about the show? And I always read SC and VR were actually friends in real life.
Members AmandainNC28655
Didn't VR and Michelle Stafford have some type of feud on Y&R?? I thought one of the characters in VR's book was based on Stafford??
Members John
Corbin was upset with the 3 shows he just shot. Said they reduced the role to Dayplayer status.

Members edgeofnight
I read, or heard somewhere, that Denny Albee (Steve Guthrie) and Lee Godart (Elliott Dorn) on 'Edge of Night' did not get along, and that's why Steve was abruptly sent out of town on assignment and off the show. Does any one know the circumstances?
Members DRW50
I thought he left to go to OLTL. That's too bad if he left because of a personal conflict. I am sorry Steve and Deborah didn't get to leave together.
Members ellabelle
IDK if this qualifies as a "feud" per se, but Karen Lynn Gorney, the original Tara on AMC, apparently didn't think much of Susan Lucci and publicly said that what she did on the show was camp and not real acting. Members edgeofnight
That's very interesting, ellabelle. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it were true about Karen Lee Gorney saying this about Susan. Call me old fashioned, but I'm still a bit ticked off that 'Tara' and 'Jeff' Martin were not brought back for the finale.
Members John
I do remember hearing Of Karen doing a lot of campagins to get back on AMC as Tara
Members ellabelle
^ Jeff's last return in 2006-2007 was pretty disastrous, so I'm not surprised he didn't come back. I know Tara was in town for Grandma Kate's funeral because there's an unintentionally funny scene where Tara and a teenage Charlie Brent are chatting with Erica... and a few years later she was sleeping with him.
