Overall Im not impressed with those choices at all. I dont want Tina recast. Just bring back Andrea Evans or Karen Witter

But going back to your choices; the only ones I can see working are Cynthia Preston or Rebecca Staab. Big hell no to all the rest

Would somebody else like to do the honors?

I kid, Karen was good.

There are a lot of names on that list I'm not familiar with, but I say nay to practically all of the names that I do recognize. Barbara Crampton stuck out the most for me though for the simple fact that I imagine her playing Tina just like Krista Tesreau did, only more wide-eyed.

I agree with Chris and the others, I'd rather see them do it right with Andrea than bring in someone else.

If she was still with us and went blonde for the role, Roya Megnot would have made for a good Tina. Similarly, a blonde Lisa Peluso is giving me that same Barbara Crampton vibe (those two look like good twin and bad twin from an '80s cartoon).

I tend to agree with quartermainefan. Don't get me wrong, I liked Karen Witter, but she was playing Tina Lite - I think Andrea represented the most interesting and entertaining qualities of Tina. What ABC did with her a few years ago basically represents the death of soaps more than almost anything I can think of.

I like all the choices, I can't even choose. I like that you didn't go with all blonde actresses either, because Tina doesn't really have to be blonde all her life. I love Beth Chamberlain, Liz Keifer, Kim Ulrich, Lisa Peluso, Rebecca Staab, Colleen Dion. I look at the acting chops and I think any of those actresses could pull off Tina.

Of all of those listed, I think Melanie Smith could actually work. You'd have to cast someone with a kind of kittenish exterior that masks some heightened sexuality and who seems somewhat dangerous. Melanie can do kittensih and given off a vibe as being very sexual. I don't that vibe from the others. Some, like Mattson and Ulrich, are clearly too old. I was thinking of Cady McClain too. She doesn't look THAT unlike Evans and I think she'd have great chem with Slezak, though I'm not sure about the sexuality thing.

I'd have to say a big old nay to Mattson who doesn't even have the Tina look. I do think Mattson and Slezak would be an interesting acting duo, Mattson has the neurotic energy for a Tina-like character while not being as OTT as Roxy.
