Members soapfan770
Eh, some of their predictions are totally off the chain. I am totally ROFLing at the thought of the death of Jessica Forrester on B&B. Same goes with the Rick/Annie/Ed triangle on GL. On ATWT airing Mark and Lily sounds just cliche and too much like the aborted pairing of Mike and Lily the show did the following year before Holden returned. John/Lisa thankfully played out better than their prediction. I have no clue about the ABC soaps, but the only predictions that are closest to what actually occurred to some extent are Y&R's and Days.
Members Bright Eyes
Days: I wish Jack, like Hope, could have legitimately been paired with someone else along the way. It's sad that they haven't even tried. It greatly hurts their characters to this day.
Members Adam
*sigh* 1995 was one damn good hell of a year in Pine Valley.... especially the latter half. Makes me sad
Members Mr. Vixen
Bobbie/Alan...A relationship that ALWAYS intrigued me. LOVED them as friends. Part of me, a very small part, always wished the affair proceeded. But I also love Alan and Monica together so so much, plus I wouldn't like if that ruined the Monica and Bobbie friendship. hmmm... some of their predictions are just...wack. Members DRW50
They did toy with Mark and Lily when he first came around, but that was dropped -- no big loss. I kind of like some of their predictions, a few were better than the actual stories (the idea of Vivian and Jack dating Titan employees to make Victor and Jennifer jealous -- I'd rather have seen that than see poor Victor strokebound and put into a home), but yeah, Rick/Annie/Ed would have been odd. Peter Simon was on the way out anyway -- I think the show wanted to do Nola/Ed and he refused. I actually would have liked Jessica dying on B&B. The stories they gave her weren't that great and they wasted Dylan's potential, as well as Maggie's. Maggie was a fun and interesting character when she first showed up and the romance with Dylan was great soap. Jessica dying and Dylan and Maggie being thrown together, with Eric furious and fighting them (perhaps because of some hidden desires for Maggie), that would have entertained me. I wish they'd had Janet/Pierce marry. I hated Brooke/Pierce and that whole story where Janet lost Pierce and Laura.
Members Pine Charles
Some of the AMC predictions were accurate -- like Erica humiliating herself on-air and sleeping with Dr. Kinder. Also, Michael's secret (that he was gay). But then they had "Dixie starts sleeping with a young male student". Whaaa???? I actually wish, too, that Janet and Pierce got married. I really liked them together. What a mistake it was to have her hook up with Trevor. UGH
Members Michael
I agree so hard. Hope has only had these dumb, duped-by-an-obvious-loser "relationships" (Larry Welch, Franco, Patrick) or slept with other guys while under mind control. I was rooting for them to do Hope/Justin last year mainly because it would open up her story a lot. I was actually even okay with the idea of Hope/John, if done properly, back in '99 because it would have caused real drama and not contrived silliness. And Jack hasn't ever had a viable alternative love interest. Melissa was a sham, Laura was a big contrivance, they never went anywhere with him and Cassie... In retrospect, when they brought on Valley as Jack, they should have tried Jack/Hope. It would have been ugly, with Hope hooking up with her cousin and BFF Jen's great love, but Jen was pushing him away and Hope was lonely and lost. Good writing (I know we had JER at the helm, but...) could've made an interesting, complex story out of it.
Members JackPeyton
This is true, as it is a HUGE reason as to why i hate them both so much. They depend on Bo and Jenn, entirely.
Members Mitch
I never got why Simon said no and why they would listen to him. While Nola was not "Nola," when she came back, if written properly (and if someone woulda slapped Brown and told her she was not playing limp biscut Iva anymore) it could have been fun. I liked Simon but he was always such a cold fish, he needed somone to warm him up and seeing Nola in the Bauer kitchen despensing whakced out advice would have been good. Members juniorz1
Actually, it almost went that way, with Dixie and that homophobe, Jason.
Members DRW50
I don't know if she ever cared about him but he was obsessed with her. Jason could have been an interesting character, it's too bad they didn't explore him more.
Members Pine Charles
Was Jason a student, though? I thought the younger gay brother, Kevin, was the student.
Members juniorz1
I'm pretty sure Jason was Dixie's student, and Kevin was Michael's.
