December 29, 201015 yr Member Why put GH at the very bottom of the household ratings when, alphabetically, GH comes before OLTL? Does it matter? They are tied for last place. But, if we want to compare, OLTL had a 6 share while GH was only at 5%. LOL. Just kidding, both of those are bad. 4. OLTL 1.8/6 (same/same) 4. GH 1.8/5 (same/-.1)

December 29, 201015 yr Member So they still play soaps on TVs in some public places? When I go to the doctor it's the "health channel", and when I go anywhere else it's stuff like CNN and Fox News yelling at me. I was at the dentist a few months back and Days was on. I hadn't watched in like a month and a half, so I was kind of half interested in it. All I remember of this experience was a woman cooing in the waiting room...."This is days of our lives? Where's Susan Martin?!" But other than that, no I never see them anymore. It's either some stupid health video showing some stanky ass teeth I don't care about, or CNN reporting on how many lines of coke lindsay lohan snorted off a strippers ass.
December 29, 201015 yr Member I was at the dentist a few months back and Days was on. I think there's still plenty of places where people are forced to share the viewing experience but, yeah, I think most of those TV's are tuned to news or home improvement shows/channels. My dentist has cable in all the exam rooms so you can choose what you want to watch. I usually turn to L&O but the last time was when SuLu was on Rachael Ray. The hygienist and I had a long convo about Susan's plastic surgery. The last time I put my car in the shop, AMC was on in the wait lounge but when it was over someone changed the channel to a cooking show. I did jury duty this summer and OLTL was on one of the TVs in the big waiting room. I'm the one who turned that off. Edited December 29, 201015 yr by marceline

December 29, 201015 yr Member Chile bye! I'm also the first one to turn off Fox News and any sort of Springer style reality mess. She who holds the remote rules the world. That's something that TPTB refuse to accept. Edited December 29, 201015 yr by marceline

December 31, 201015 yr Member Interesting. I'm a Nurse Manager at a major hospital in Manhattan I don't deny at all that people are probably watching TV when at home. The question is, are they watching the soaps? I work at the number 1 hospital in the state, #7 in the nation.
