I found a couple of more clips of Tonya Lee Williams early Canada career. In the Days Casting Old Role thread I posted a 1977 clip of her on a dance show called Boogie. Here she is in a 1979 Milk commercial and on a children's show from 1980 called Polka Dot Door.

 

 

I loved the game show crossovers with the CBS soap stars. That was a big part of why CBS Daytime was so awesome back in the day.

 

Janice Lynde guest starred in the Morgan Fairchild/Granville Van Dusen Avengers rip off 'Escapade' pilot in 78. Guess projects like this made a return to soaps more palatable.

Janice Lynde did not know how good she had it on Y&R, and all the great material William J. Bell gave her to play, if dreck like Escapade was the alternative. Yikes!

I wonder why it is that there's so many episodes of all kinds of other soaps from 1977-1984, yet whenever it comes to Y&R there's barely any, especially from 77-83.

Same here, I expected it to happen quite some time ago. Someone actually asked CG on Twitter if that was ever going to be a thing, she seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea. Let's hope.
