Brash and Cwickly were surprisingly good for DAYS. I was so upset when they got sacked and we got Higley. I had some hope for Reilly but then it all went downhill. As someone who started watching under Reilly, I was beyond upset at his return and how bad it was. He also turned Passions into utter trash at the same time. Say what you will about Passions, and while it was out there in the beginning, 1999-2001 for Passions was a very different show than the last few years. I don't know what happened. Clearly he just didn't care and threw whatever stuck at the wall, but nothing stuck.

I was hoping MarDar would be somewhat of an inbetween of Reilly and Brash/Cwickly. I think they had good intentions but after a few months I don't know what happened. They weren't as bad as some want to say they were IMHO.

I agree that B&C were a decent fit for this show, and it was a mistake to let them go...particularly since Corday and TPTB keep inflicting the likes of Higley onto Salem. Recycling hacks who have failed at every show they've been on is a gross, inexplicable mistake that daytime keeps making over and over and over again. Higley should not ever be allowed near a soap again.

LOL!

I agreed and quit watching at the time, around the time they started dragging out the exorcism because of all the attention the show was getting.

What really sucks is he had me from the beginning of his stint until then.  I adored his Hope return story, Sami up to that point, Lucas/Kate/BillieAustin/Curtis story, the Marlena/John affair.  About as out there as I needed was Carly buried alive, which I enjoyed the hell out of.  Lots of really great DAYS stories until he dug in deep to a gothic and camp style which became the whole show.  I just couldn't take it anymore.

Oh okay. Yesterday when I looked there was one DAYS clip still up and it said on the others that the user had removed them. When Sony or Entura take them down it usually say it's for copyright reasons.

It's a shame, I was hoping they were done taking down Days channels, they've been doing it for almost one and a half year now.

I think some clips were taken down by them and the rest went as a precaution by the uploader as they got several strikes.

It's absurd to me as they were just a handful of clips. I don't know if someone thinks this is a way to get viewers to watch. The odd thing is that I've seen channels that have new clips and those are untouched.

No, that was Dena Higley.

B&C's memorable stuff. The return of Larry. The Gemini twins. Austin dumps Sami before their wedding in Vegas. Bo and Hope lose JT to Glen and Barb. Chloe's leukemia. Victor and Nicole's wedding on New Years Eve with Murder at Midnigt aka who killed Colin Murphy. The Reading of Stefano's will. John and Tony are half-brothers. Lexie's pregnant but who's the daddy, Abe or Brandon.

    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...

    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
