They would have gotten that from my detailed episode guide research, where I figured out all of the preemptions, so I'd stick with the original source material! If you do end up doing the math, Manny, please share your results here!!

Cool. I've contributed some episode descriptions there.

I was down a rabbit hole recently & came up with these DAYS photos. If anyone knows anything about the setting, date, etc. Please post it. Thanks! DAYS June 1986.jpg

Cast Photo date unknown

Now, #1 and #2 are obviously the same night (or day) but they were marked with different dates. Can we fix this?

The first two photos you posted are Episode # 3628, the March 7, 1980 episode, which celebrated Tom & Alice's 50th anniversary. This also happened to be the last episode that Tommy Horton ever appeared in.

3628...3/7/80:
Cast: Tom, Alice, Mickey, Bill, Julie, Doug, Maggie, Mike, Robert, David, Margo, Trish, Marie, Tommy, Laura, Hope, Marty.
Sets: Doug's Place, Doug's Place Ladies' Room, Mike & Margo's House, Horton Living Room Int. Car, Trish & David's Apartment, Mickey & Maggie's Apartment Phone (Limbo).

The final photo you posted is the 1978 cast photo, I have the black & white and color versions posted on this page: https://www.jason47.com/days/castphotos.html

Most of the cast photos are posted at my website with photo keys to identify all the actors:

This may be the story that Patsy Pease refused to play as she was pregnant at the time; IIRC she had a sense it could cause her baby to die (and she then did have a difficult delivery).

Patsy was pregnant when Kimberly had the miscarriage but that wasn't the story she refused to play. But Patsy did feel uncomfortable enough about it that when she got pregnant again in early 1990 (and Kim got pregnant, but didn't know if it was Shane's or Cal's) she refused to play out a stillbirth. So they replaced her with Anne Howard who lasted a few months and in the end Kim ended up not having a stillbirth but rather gave birth to Jeannie Theresa off-screen in LA (though Shane did go and visit Jeannie just after she was born but I think Kim wasn't seen). Patsy then returned either around the end of the year or early 1991.

That was fast!  Thanks for doing that.

Here are the three years where you have to add one episode to each year:

1986: 11/27/86 5364A (add one episode)
1992: 1/10/92 6680A: "One Stormy Night" (add one episode)
1993: 2/26/93 6970A: "Night Sins" (add one episode)

These two oddities cancel each other out:
2/2/94 # 7208 and # 7209 combined and edited into one episode (subtract one episode)
2/4/94 # 7211A: "Winter Heat" (add one episode)

So, overall, there are 15,024 episodes, meaning 1986 has 258 episodes, 1992 has 259 episodes and 1993 has 256 episodes.

Here is a picture Bing Images gave me of character actress Kathleen Freeman

I knew of Kathleen - there were two other ladies in the ad too. Sorry for my not saying that before.

As an additional "fun fact" I was reminded of by seeing this ad, Bill Hayes once mentioned to me that he was friends with Dick Wilson (Mr. Charmin).

That's neat. I imagine Bill knew so many legends.
