Whoa, I swore I clicked the wrong button and this was an old post. Whoopi and Rosie? All that alpha comedienne energy. When Rosie joined the show, Joy began to over compensate, and when Whoopi joined, she never laughed at Joy's quips. That's also a lot of liberal energy on the show so I don't imagine a lot of opposing views, so the show will probably more closely resemble its clone, The Talk, where everyone seems to agree and I don't think they've ever gotten into an argument. Rosie can't help herself though, I'm sure we can expect at least one headline making blowout much to the delight of Barbara and Bill.

Did anyone watch Rosie's show on OWN? I didn't but I've seen clips. It wasn't bad but it was clear that it had a rough time finding its identity. I actually really like Rosie and I think it's sad that the show failed. The whole Harpo thing seemed like a nice idea. The situation is reminiscent of Caroline Rae taking the baton from Rosie and her show failing.

Oop! I guess I was thirsty for some drama, lol.

BTW y'all, I'm aware of the fact that I accidentally posted my last post an annoying four times but I blame SON for not doing what I tell her to do when I tell her to do it and I'm not trying to sit here tapping backspace on my phone for five minutes.

I liked her show on OWN, but you're right, it had identity issues. The fact that Russell Brand was her first guest was not a good sign. It went from having a studio audience, band, announcer, game show, etc. to being an intimate one-on-one adult interview with a background set that resembled a kindergarten classroom. It just clashed terribly. But there were some great moments in her short-lived show. One of my favorites was how they showed how chummy Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller and her "nemesis" Kathy really are, and how it's all just for the show, as is that dumbass pyramid.

I saw that yesterday, Barbara makes me sick. Just seeing her hand in the air like that in the freeze frame annoys me. It's so obvious that they have some sort of personal relationship and she's biased and defending him. She would never stand up for somebody she doesn't know like that. Though she would totally do her usual unnecessary damage control.

Barbara is a decrepit, bitter, old home wrecking whore. Not surprised this woman would defend a molester. She would sell her soul for a dollar so of course shes keeping mum as is the rest of Hollywood for ths sick twisted f-ck

Never thought Id say this but YAAAAASSSS to Sherri Shepherd

Exactly, I was proud of Sherri for not backing down and I am so glad that she made a point to mention that Soon Yee was underage regardless of the fact that she and Woody didn't see themselves as having a father-daughter relationship.

Oh I totally agree with you. Barbara, Rosie, and Whoopi all have that in common for me. I still love Rosie and Whoopi but the format of this show has been such a valuable lesson in the humanity of celebrities. When they make themselves so open and available, you quickly learn that you don't always agree and folks you've admired for years can really turn you off.

Sherri Shepherd shut that down like a pro. Good for her. One of the few times where she sounded very, very smart. Barbara is so ignorant. She's seen him be nice to his daughters so he's automatically innocent? What a dumb !@#$%^&*]. Way to turn a blind eye, you old nasty bitch.

LMAO you are NEVER here for that crypt keeper. She really disgusts me.

I know y'all saw how Whoopi kept her mouth shut. Her ass was defending Roman Polanski not to long ago. It's sad what these people will do to remain relevant in the Hollywood social circles.

    • But that is pretty much situation normal for all soaps. They do not tend to continue to show things like surgical scars. They also play fast & loose with hospital procedures.
    • Trump and Netanyahu are giving "Let them eat cake".  And it's horrific. In 2013, Pope Francis removed a bishop from running the Limburg Germany diocese because he was constructing an opulent 31-million-euro building. Pope Francis stood up for the poor, the unhoused, the migrants of all faiths.  He lived simply and ordered that when he died, that he wished to be interred in a simple wooden coffin. I sincerely hope that the new pope Leo will follow Francis' example.
    • Co Sign!!!!   I have been watching the show regularly over the last few weeks and am pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is to watch each day. This definitely is confirmation for me that Paula and Jeanne wrote the stroke episodes, cause I felt the same way watching those. Could be more exciting for sure, but interactions now make more sense and everything seems to be a bit more character driven which is great. I will add though, there are still about 10 or so characters i'd love to see gone, and hope a few will exit in the future! Otherwise, happy with the changes so far.

    • There is suffering everywhere you look, says mother of emaciated baby girl trapped in Gaza https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czrv5rl73zdo Quoting excerpts from BBC article: The baby's mother Najwa, 23, is changing Siwar's nappy. She weighs just over 2kg (4lb 6oz). A baby girl of five months should be around or over 6kg. "There was no food when I gave birth to her," says Najwa. "If I wanted to feed myself so I could breastfeed her, I had no nutrients to make my health better... She now only drinks formula milk, and we don't know how we'll be able to provide it for her." Israel has banned international journalists from entering Gaza to report independently. According to Siwar's doctor, Ziad al-Majaida, "Nothing enters through the borders, no milk, food or anything. This leads to big problems here for the kids. This baby needs a specific type of milk. It was available before, but because of the border closure, the stocks have run out for a while now." Since the beginning of the year, according to the UN, about 10,000 cases of acute malnutrition among children have been identified. Food prices have rocketed by as much as 1,400%. Charity kitchens, which have helped hundreds of thousands of Gazans, are shutting as food supplies run out. Twenty-five bakeries supported by the World Food Programme have been forced to close. Israel cut off all humanitarian aid and other supplies from entering Gaza on 2 March, and resumed its military offensive two weeks later The United Nations has said the Israeli blockade constitutes "a cruel collective punishment" on civilians. The UN's humanitarian director, former British diplomat Tom Fletcher, said that international law was unequivocal. "As the occupying power, Israel must allow humanitarian support in... Aid, and the civilian lives it saves, should never be a bargaining chip," he warned. From the BBC reporter: I put this point to Boaz Bismuth, a leading member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party. He (Bismuth) denies there is an aid crisis caused by the blockade. "There is food in Gaza... Israel wouldn't do such a restriction if the population didn't have food. I mean, I know my country perfectly well," he (Bismuth) said. BBC reporter: I put it to Bismuth that he was denying the evidence of people's eyes, that children were starving. "There are not starving children. I repeat again." He (Bismuth) said that there had been allegations months ago of famine, ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza "which was crap". ----  ----  ---- A UK-based advocacy group for Israel has the nerve to claim war may reduce obesity in Gaza https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/may/10/uk-lawyers-for-israel-condemned-over-claim-war-may-reduce-obesity-in-gaza
    • Joel Crothers would have been perfect as Owen (maybe because Margo wasn't too far off Denise). A shame he couldn't have played a dual role. Eliot did have more room to grow. I wonder if whatever allegedly happened with Denny Albee played a part in both their exits.

    • I remember Evie's last scene and it was in Justin Marler's house and she is telling them that Ben is asking for a reconciliation and she is going to join him. I always have wondered what Janet Grey did after leaving Guiding Light (I know from the interview with Kathleen Cullen that she did have a baby and they stayed in touch for awhile).
