Members Khan
I don't think so, and I think any attempts to say he did - even with Melissa - is reaching. Frankly, I thought Lance and Melissa were too narcissistic to love anyone other than themselves. And poor Cole had to be the stupidest guy alive even to fall for her, too.
Members j swift
My point on the Lance and Melissa relationship is that it was a great setup for a Kate/Petruchio-Taming-of-Shrew-type of relationship. Taking two antagonists and making them fall in love, which is one of my favorite types of romances in soaps (like Jake and Paulina on AW). And I am sad that it was never developed into that type of story after watching that great scene between the two.
Members soapfan770
I feel Lance had something legit with Lorraine but unfortunately that ended. He also had something with Dina later on but that of course ended because Lamas and the actress called off their real life engagement so the show basically recycled the Lorraine plot again with Dina. Fair point, and Melissa self sabotaging even her semi-good relationships with Eric (when he was a Lance clone) and Dan Fixx continued her self-destructive streak. I think Lance and Melissa could’ve worked ideally had the characters evolved a good bit but Melissa going Batsh!t crazy time and again destroyed that Chance. Lol poor Cole indeed. But he was wise enough to move from the valley. I do think Cole would’ve been a better match for Pilar in the later seasons but that’s just theory.
Members soapfan770
Interesting article from The Enquirer about Falcon Crest’s Season 5, some of it panned out but some of it did not. I wonder if Terry Lester was going to be Jeff Wainwright? Here's What You'll See This Fall In an all-out bid to bolster slipping ratings, “Falcon Crest” producers are revamping the show to make the story lines sexier and steamier than ever before. Torrid new romances are in store for Maggie, Lance, Greg and even Angela — plus there’ll be a glittering array of new series regulars, including Cesar Romero, Morgan Fairchild and “Hill Street Blues" costar Ken Olin. The execs plans are all hush-hush — but The ENQUIRER has a sneak preview of what you'll see as the ' new season opens. Just a year ago. The ENQUIRER reported that producers were confident the show would continue to climb in the ratings and even challenge “Dallas” and “Dynasty” forth number-one spot. But not only has “Falcon Crest” failed to make it to the top, it's even slipped in the ratings, falling from seventh place in the 1983-84 season to number '10 this. past' season. “ ‘Falcon Crest' is showing the first signs of slipping in the ratings — not plummeting, but falling enough so that the execs are concerned,” said a source close to the show. “The trademark of ‘Dallas' is powerful people caught up in their own schemes. Dynasty strademark is beautiful people in beautiful settings. ‘Falcon Crest' tried to be a little of both — but never quite made it. “So the execs decided to put their characters into romantic, sexy situations that will steam up the TV screens. “They're planning to inject a adult situations into the program audience Outlining next season's sexy story' lines, an insider revealed: "Lance will find himself involved in a torrid affair with a character played by newcomer Appolonia, a singer-actress who appeared in Prince's movie ‘Purple Rain. But don't look for this to turn into, a long- term relationship — because before, the season is over, Lance will get married and his wife will be pregnant. No one has been selected for the role of his wife, but it won't be Appoloni.???? Angela will suffer a debilitating stroke hospital, While she is in the hospital another patient young — and in love, t befriends her she begins to fall said the-insider. “He's an. evil, cunning person who gets. Angela completely underhis spell. All the power and prestige goes to his head, and he becomes a really nasty guy, using every trick in the book to save Falcon Crest of from the clutcher of Ana Rossini and Casandra who are to crush Falcon Crest. There also going to be a new love interes for Greg. Members YRBB
You should! It's not brilliant soap opera, but it has plenty of greatness and is plain fun. I've been meaning to check KL Season 5, which is... not good quality on Plex, and see if they fixed it. I have a feeling they did, I highly doubt Prime would show it like that.
Members Liberty City
I'm currently somewhere in S5 of Knots (I think)? Plex keeps deleting where I have left-off, so I may just jump in, haha.
