I never realized it but you're right on that one. MAB doesn't know what to do with the role (as much as I hated Gloria at one point, even in crappy stories she's more interesting than 75% of what's on Y&R these days) so they try to position her as the new Miss Nosypants, Gina.

Is there an edited version of Y&R around which only contains Nina/Paul/Cricket??? PLEASE!!!

They are REALLY the only thing worth watching. The rest is pure dreck. Maybe except that little bit of Victor/Nikki/Meggie even though that Sean Young is one piece of bad mannersims.

And GASP as Cat said: I find myself to be neutral on Jeffrey Dud these days and rooting for him in his quest against FauxVickie. Universe is collapsing...

EDIT: I didn't like Don Diamont on B&B at first and the whole Quagmire wardrobe is soooo wrong and YMCA but he's delivery some fantastic acting moments on the show. Funny that this slightly more demanding version of Brad is fitting him acting-wise - I'm impressed. He was never bad on Y&R but just not that good like he's on B&B. And I don't even like the character of Bill - FYI.

I felt it was so random to have her show up as Victoria/Billy's realtor and seemed like some desperate attempt at given her airtime by sticking her in a story which doesnt involve her. And of course her running the club seems too reminiscent of Gina running her restaurant

If it makes you feel any better, J.T. is going to do something he shouldn't. So you can hate him and the Universe won't collapse.

When it comes to nicknames this board isn't too bad about it, especially when you compare it to the TWOP boards. Every character has multiple nicknames.

So do some fans.

Well, the only reason why J.T. is remotely interesting is because Maria didn't try to write for him. He's just there, by the side, waiting for a story. We all know how it goes - if you are a contract or recurring actors that appears rarely, you're safer. All other are destroyed.

    • I got the impression Andre was opening up to Dani about his feelings, that's why I thought he was about to admit he was in love with her. Dani has no idea that what's good for her is right in front of her face. Tomorrow we might get a love scene set to an R&B slow jam.
    • No, he was pining for that walking sleeping pill Ashley, and then later texted Dani for a hookup when he felt lonely. He and Dani got into it a bit as she’s not ready to be seen openly with him still, and they both realized they were hung up on other people - Andre on Ashley (thought he never said her name) and especially Dani on Bill.  Of course neither learnt anything and then proceeded to have sex again.
    • I'm glad there's a pool set if only for the eye candy. I do think they need to be careful when filming. Today, the direction was off with Kai in the pool -- it looked like he was sitting in a wading pool, and it was clear there was no depth to the water. Also, as I mentioned before, the view from those large windows looks fake as hell.
    • From my notes: San Cristobal with an “a” is from ANOTHER WORLD. Mac, Carl, their fathers, Ian Rains & his father, and Paulina had history on that equatorial island. Paulina was visiting there researching her past & fell for both Ian & Jake McKinnon! San Cristobel with an “e” is from GUIDING LIGHT and is the island kingdom where Prince Richard & Prince Edmund were from. Others with history there were Reva when she was Princess Katherine, Jonathan, Olivia, etc.
    • Schenkel was indeed a disaster.     During 1985, the following characters exited the show: Brian Bancroft, Sandy Cory, Blaine Ewing Cory, Jamie Frame, the first Peter Love, Alice Matthews Frame, Ben McKinnon, Vince McKinnon, Mark Singleton, Perry Hutchins, Grant Todd, and Tony the Tuna.   The following characters were introduced and quickly disappeared Chris Chapin, Neal Cory, Dee Evans, Daniel Gabriel, Michaud Christophe, Edward Gerard, Daphne Grimaldi, Zane Lindquist, and Brittany Peterson.   The only successful characters Schenkel introduced were Bridget Connell, Vicky Hudson, and Jake McKinnon.   Schenkel recasted the popular Sally Frame with Taylor Miller when Mary Page Keller left AW.  Also, he recasted Peter Love twice in 1985 with Christopher Holder and Marcus Smythe.   Schenkel brought back Carl Hutchins for the Egyptian/Arizona treasure story with the poisonous dust.
    • Was Andre about to use the L word with Dani?
    • Honestly, she should have went splat on the bottom since it looks only 4 feet or less.  I stopped watching by that time, but since they were in L.A. I could believe it.
    • My mistake. San Cristobal. I've seen it as Alamainia, Alamainland, and my personal favorite, Ubilam ("Malibu" spelled backwards). I was sticking to non-U.S. locations, but I suppose Aremid could have been Canadian. Ah, yes. Haiti?
    • You're very, very welcome! Nice seeing things appreciated.
    • No, not just you. And I think I remember that set; honestly, a lot of the L.A. sets stand out more in my head, and their stellar outdoor scenes.
