To me, real justice would be Driscoll and Goddard leaving and taking about most of their peers on the show with them. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS is supposed to be about youth; yet, the youth on this show is dragging this show down (and some of the older, veteran characters aren't much up to snuff, either).

Why the hell is Cane in Chloe's fantasy? I thought she never really loved him.

Some of the actors (Hendrickson, Miller, Graziadei, James, Driscoll, Ford, Ali, Luckinbill, Rylan) are talented but between the agendas & the horrible writing there's nothing there to help them develop as actors or characters.

Then there are those who were just miscast and/or unnecessary (Scottie Pippen, Goddard, Reigel, Branson, Rikaart, O'Brien, Bethel) that could easily be fixed by recast (Riegel, Scottie Pippen) or cutting them (Branson, Rikaart, O'Brien, Bethel).

I still hold LML as the "standard" by which all Y&R Epic Fails should be measured. That clip, though, makes me miss Dru something awful and sort of pine for the drunken-Dru-attacking-Carmen-Mesta days. And just watching VR shove her cell phone into CK's face -- "Here, talk to your daddy" -- without even looking at her makes me LMFAO.

And I know this is a mean and superficial thing but... is the current Lily really all that and a bag of chips? Her nose sort of bothers me. Sigh. I guess I still miss Davetta's heart-shaped face, long, long lashes and soulful eyes. CK has the soulfulness of a petri dish.

Oh, my, now this I It says something about Sherwood (and Khalil for that matter) that she played the part for a mere 9 months and yet here we all are, 3 1/2 years later, still pining for her return. She, simply put, was greatness.

As for Y&R, WTF am I watching? Seriously, we lose Bethel & Driscoll, but we're stuck with Bianca & Adam & Nilly & Victwhoria & D(umb)A(ss) & DeacannotfitonY&R & Kevinsane & Janatone & Blabby & Cindy Brady & Julia Robers' brother & Scott Hamner & Hogan Sheffer (who is just writing the wrong show IMO) & Shrilly & Cane't Act & worst of all, the role of Katherine Chancellor is now being written as Salt of the Earth Do Gooder instead of Crazy Ex-Alcoholic Bitch.

Up until & even during some of LML, Y&R was the most consistent show on the air. You could tune out & tune back in & count on seeing all of your old favorites & a good confrontation within the episode or at worst, the week. Now, everyone is so polite & just tip toes around each other & you only get confronted if you're completely psychotic or you get under Chloe's skin. It's a bunch of wretched sh!t that just ain't worth my time anymore.

Honestly, I only watch for Jill & Nina.

But I will add that I forgot to mention Jonathan Lavery, who sucked on AMC, won an EMMY for the role of Shayne Lewis (HUH?) on GL, and now has walked into the typical "dude with balls" role that Sheffer loves to write so much. I'd ask who'd he f*ck to receive these accolades & breaks but dude is FUGLY so it's just a big WTF? for me. I'd scratch my head, but I refuse to lose any hair over such a nonentity as Jeff Branson.

I like Branson. Call me crazy, but I think there is room for both Chance and Ronan

especially if they are going to be brothers.

The fact that they are such different personalities interacting together opens up tremendous SL opportunities.

Chance and Mac (remember her?) got thrown under the bus -- there to make other characters look better. I have a feeling Mac is currently heading into a "Make Lily & Cane look great" moment.

And ITA about Stephen Nichols. I loveloveLOVE him, have done since the Patch days of the late 80s, he wowed me as Stefan on GH. I think he's deinitely a Daytime superstar and a great actor. But he cannot work wonders on flat-out NOTHING. And Tucker was ill-conceived from the start. And by "ill-conceived" I mean that Hogan came up with the name "Tucker McCall" and that was it.

Ashley was exactly who I was thinking of for Chance! If Patty Jane hadn't turned into a babbling schizophrenic paranoid with the mental age of 5, I would have suggested her for Chance, too -- mainly because of this:

Yeah, it's pathetic what they've turned Heather into. The few scenes that I've seen of her were just bad. I immediately regret even watching that one scene that I downloaded the entire episode for.
