She (Christine) left sometime at the end of 2000 to Hong Kong and only appeared in phone calls to Paul in January. She returned around April 2001.

After Nina "stole" Phillip from Cricket, Cricket decided to help Phillip learn to love Nina and her unborn child by helping change Nina's style and her manners. She remained a close friend to Phillip and to Nina and was there for Nina when Phillip died. After that Nina and Cricket/Christine were very close for the rest of the time Nina was on the show (although I think Lauralee Bell was on maternity leave when Tricia Cast left in 2000 so I don't think there was ever a goodbye scene).
