These days it seems like they don't even bother with the men being *fixed*. The more Todd, John, Rex, Ford, etc. act like scum, the more we are supposed to swoon, or see them as the true victims. There's always some woman to blame.

Exactly, hence my "if only for a little while" because if he loses touch with his inner bastard he's suddenly boring. It shows in the writing too. Look at when Brody became a good guy, he was a great character for a while there then it looked like they didn't know what to do with him and he was propping Jess like a dayplayer, but now that he's smashed her sister, congrats Brody man, you're back in action!

Uh, it sounds like MR. Ford was to blame for Ford and James becoming who they were today. Not their absentee mom. At least, in terms of direct influence. People need to lay off the "women are written as men's lapdogs" crap. I mean, Matthew didn't even have sex with the hooker and people are STILL saying there's a double standard because he was "cool" for having done it. I doubt many people would have thought it was cool and the writers knew that and didn't have him do it. I don't think many people thought Starr was cool for having sex with her boyfriend without protection either. It's pretty equal in my eyes.

I havent seen todays episode but I presume you are talking about James, who is Ford's brother. They met in a park last week, and he saw her again at the hospital parking garage. He was running from this guy who he owes money to, and hijacked Starr's car with her and hope in it. The guy found Starr"s purse and is now threatening to hurt/kill James and Starr if he doesnt get his money. Dani and Nate found the money in the woods on Monday, but have no idea where it came from.

ICAM. Interesting discussion about guy having to be badasses to not be boring. It's sorta the ABC soap mantra -the ladies lust for the bad guys. I hate that. Give me a sweet good guy anyday. Soaps stories should have a mix with the "good" guys facing off against the bad. As for the Ford brothers- talk about overkill already. James is consuming way way too much airtime even if he's kinda cute.

James is making me laugh when I shouldn't be. He'll soon learn that it takes work to sell some of that atrocious dialogue.

Why oh why must Hannah be thrown under the bus for Starr and Cole?! I really like the actress, and she wont last much longer showing traces of psycho behavior.

I am finally liking Kelly, she and Jessica both needed this friendship to be rekindled. I like it.

I wish this Cristian/Layla story wasnt so half assed, all they need to do is recast Evangeline, and let the drama happen.

Giving Cristian a REAL story might make David Fumero want to stay.
