January 6, 200620 yr Member Lots of great football the last couple of days... I've been a big Longhorns fan, mainly becuase of the 2003 Final Four team... and then their repeat CWS championship baseball team... while I've supported the football team the last 2 seasons, I've been a USC football fan longer... So it was Trojans all the way last night... Plus, Vince is going to be back next year (though who knows after last night) and a "3-Pete" would've been a great way to end Leinart and Bush's USC career Oh well, I thought the Penn/FSU game was a lot more exciting... and for this season, nothing tops Notre Dame/USC... Vince Young is a good QB, but I dont care if he enters the draft... the Niners don't need him, so what do I care Though if he goes #1, the Niners have a chance to get Bush at #7
January 6, 200620 yr Member Now I normally don't like college football, but I have many friends who go to Penn State and play on the team. I am glad Penn won. Almost 5 [!@#$%^&*] hours of playing time. It took 4 quarters plus 3 overtimes for Penn State to pull out the victory. Great stuff. I was born and raised in PA and in my childhood home Paterno was a Legend. I was so glad to see PSU win (especially against Florida State-since after being a Nittany Lion fan, I am a Gator fan.)! What a game too!
January 6, 200620 yr Member Also thanks to ESPN for hyping up USC so much, because that gave Texas plenty to thrive on, being disrespected all month while ESPN constantly talked about USC and saying which teams in the past could stop this team, in reality it was Texas who was way overlooked by many. I am an SEC fan, so I dont like Texas but hell I am a fan of anybody who can deflate USC at least for a moment. Totally. Even as a USC fan/student, I thought the hype was ridiculous. It was also just begging for them to lose.
