May 12, 201015 yr Member I can't believe people think having a martini tossed in your face is too light a thing to happen. I'm no Marissa fan but it would be ridiculous to have her starting to throw punches.
May 12, 201015 yr Member It hasn't been six months, and already, AMC is staging their first explosion/fire in L.A.? Whatever happened to "character-driven" and "back to basics," people? Whatever happened to you actually WATCHING and then commenting?

If she would have punched Annie, it would have been worse because she would look so stupid doing it (and i mean come on, people would rip her to shreds LOL). I think it was more in character for her to throw the glass in Annie's face. She may be going through some personality changes after this, but punching people out of anger should not be one of those steps...lol. Usually when a woman slaps or punches another woman in a soap, the other woman hits back and a cat fight ensues, would anyone really want to see Marissa fighting Annie? Maybe with a different Actress playing Marissa, but otherwise, not me lol. Edited May 12, 201015 yr by AllmyDaysatGH

May 12, 201015 yr Member Cheap and others on page one. (Not trying to single Cheap out, just disagree) Marissa is so lame! Instead of slapping Annie, like a real woman would, she gets mad and throws water in her face and walks away. Wow, like thats gonna hurt her Sylph, do you read the full thread before replying?
May 12, 201015 yr Member Whatever happened to you actually WATCHING and then commenting? Yeah, like I'm the only one guilty of this crime, lol. Besides, I don't think you have to watch to know explosions and spectacles aren't character-driven plot twists.

You know there are no shades of gray when it comes to particular fans/haters of certain characters.

Although I don't think a sound stage location has any bearing on this whatsoever, I agree that only three months post-Pratt/B&E/McTavish era is a bit too soon for a showy, campy stunt if the main focus is, indeed, getting the show and its characters "back to basics."
May 12, 201015 yr Member RE: Marissa on Friday. I have never seen so much fire from that character. I was shocked.
May 12, 201015 yr Member Sylph, do you read the full thread before replying? I read that. It's your description of it I don't agree with.
May 12, 201015 yr Member She said she shoulda slapped her instead of merely throwing a drink at her. To me that implies that a drink wasn't enough, hence too "light".
May 12, 201015 yr Member I guess no one will be happy unless and until Marissa head-butts someone....
May 13, 201015 yr Member Lord have mercy. All this back and forth over one of the most useless characters on television other than Lost's Kate Austen. It was good to see Marissa show some pepper but I agree there was something lame about the martini toss. It was a good start but it was just so The Women circa 1939. IMO, she didn't need to throw punches but a good soapy slap would've been perfect.

To me that implies that a drink wasn't enough, hence too "light". theres a big difference between a slap and a punch. I wasnt expecting her to get into some brawl. Even if she didnt hit her, she should have at least come up with some insults, but her entire exchange was weak. She just threw the drink and proceeded to walk away, but Annie stopped her. Marissa should have taken that oppurtunity to rip itno her, but she didnt and just left. She was rather weak in the scene
