OLTL ticks off another ethic group...

I can't believe they were upset by this.

Considering what else is wrong in the world, and in Llanview, I think this would be the least of anyone's problems.

OTOH, I'm just happy OLTL didn't "honor" Black History Month by trotting out Layla and Rachel to make fried chicken and pecan pies.

Yes people drinking because it is St. Patricks Day is a stereotype, yes the actual day itself was written in stereotypical format, yes the button that Roxy wore, the hat with the glass of beer all stereotypical notions of Irish people

I guess we'll just have to disagree on this. I don't see anything you've mentioned as stereotypes in the sense that the people making the claims on the blog were making them out to be. They were obviously trying to claim that OLTL was trying to portray the Irish in a negative light and that simply did not happen.

If people of unknown ethnicities drinking at a celebration is a stereotype, what isn't? If they show someone eating is that a stereotype of fat people, even if the people eating are of all shapes and sizes? Anyway, I've given their ridiculous blog too much play already, so I'm going to leave it there.

Everyone in Llanview seems to anyway. They are Noelle's speciality after all.

And they're ESPECIALLY good with a cold, refreshing jug of sweet tea! ;-)

Noelle doesn't make pies. She makes pahs.

Yeah, and Carloota (as Dorain says) makes flan.

I'm still waiting to see if OLTL will accept my story idea where she kills Moe and puts him in the pies.
