FTR: Kim Fields' season was a great season IMO. She was unsuspecting comic relief, and she still bested Kenya in every way -- including at reunion.

Monyetta is a somewhat more erudite Carmon but remains Kandi's hired minion and mouthpiece.

Courtney as a FOH is definitely no Kim Granatell. She's not even a Yovanna.

This is basically the same cast as season 14 and everyone I knew said that the cast just didn't gel.

So when I heard there was no shake up at all, I knew this show was in trouble.  I don't think Nene/Kim Z is the answer to fixing the show because neither one of them are the same people that they were in the first seasons of the show.

I'm going to be honest and say that they shouldn't be filming together.. and that instead maybe show us their lives with their jobs, friends and family.   

And hell no to Kim Fields ever coming back.  That is one toxic condescending woman... and I don't think she bested Kenya at the reunion.  It was a draw..imho.

Now that I'm thinking about it, anytime someone semi famous does one of these housewife shows.. I end up not liking them anymore (Rinna, Kim Fields, Heather Dubrow, Eileen, and Garcelle/Denise Richards is on my side eye list).   Maybe actors/actresses shouldn't do these shows if they hope to have a long lasting acting career LOL

The problem is I don't think many of the women have much going on. The show is their job, their friends don't want to be filmed, and most of them already feature what family they do have.

Cigs & Wigs is a draw only because her life is imploding right now and it's ugly. It's not #Scandoval, but people would tune in for it. If Bravo doesn't have a camera crew following Kim around they've made a big mistake.

Honestly, I just think back to her ignorant comments she made about "racism wasn't a big thing before" and "you put me up against 5 strong black women!" in that bathroom scene after the Season 10 reunion (the birthplace of "I need Andy and a camera!").  I don't need her back; I don't want her back; I have no interest in her imploding life. It couldn't happen to a more deserving cvnt.

I see your point, but am also heartbroken that you don't like EiLegend Davidson anymore. It took a minute, but I still love her. Despite everything that happened on RHOBH, I believe Eileen is good people. (I love Garcelle, too, I must say).

 

I thought I was the only one on earth who noticed that Bravo assigned her segments (and ONLY her segments) the farty saxophone!

I really dislike Wigs n Cigs, but do I kind of want to see the implosion? Oui. I want to see the IRS ready to serve her a subpoena at her front door, Lynne Curtin's daughters-style. I want to see Kroy spilling the beans on who she cheated with (yes, he's already said she cheated). I've been waiting a long time for that televised comeuppance.

On the basis of taglines alone... it feels like I'm coming home to OG OC! Right down to the ubiquitously blonde newbie who looks like a Tamra-Gretchen-Peggy Tanous prototype. 

The music got a little kick, which I'm not sure was necessary. I'm already over the glittery special effects. Those flying oranges are like a Fanta ad.

I mean, the rolling see-through staircases on RHOA are still tripping me out. 

The whoosh! And Vicki with her hand on her hip, her head dipping to the side, and Donn, Michael and Brianna behind her! See, it's sh!t like this that I get attached to and don't like to see replaced. For a show like OC, especially, which is so unabashedly OC and not trying to be something else, it is worth keeping a few of the old quirks. 

Lol, not me, just a very clever RH fan on Twitter. You know Dorinda's face is doing that right now.

I like that the families are still in the opening.  This and NJ were always more of a focus on family.  

In fact, RHOC was a concept that combined Desperate Housewives with the OC....so the teens always had a focus.  

Plus we have seen Heather and Shannon's kids grow up on the show...I like that we sometimes hear from them about their moms.

 

Last night we met the newbie Jennifer...and she is exactly an OC prototype.  Messy older kids, hectic life...and lips that are..wow.  only thing missing is the sky top lol

The reunion continues to be very ugly for Teresa. I don't think she realizes how poorly she's coming across and how truly unhinged Luis is.

Jennifer Aydin did not convince me in the slightest about the state of her marriage. 

Dolores knows that a lot of this looks/is bad but she's hanging in there to keep the peace. When Theresa questioned why Dolores didn't tell her that Margaret called her, you could see her wheels turning that Theresa is going to flip out for being "disloyal" which is so farcical. 

I think Rachel showed up in this episode and it looks like her husband is also clocking in next week. Danielle, on the other hand, is too dumb to contribute. She now realizes she's been set up but likely doesn't have the backbone to deal with Theresa and Jennifer Aydin. 

Jenn Fessler's plastic surgery looks fabulous.

Good start. It was light and easy breezy. The new girl is like a Femme Bot from Austin Powers and has that underbelly of messy family life and the boyfriend gives me pause. 

Great to see Tamra back. I like that she's smart. She and Eddie are living in the house from Season 8, I believe it was Eddie's original bachelor pad, that they'd kept as a rental property when they moved to their second house in Ladera, and then moved to Coto. 

I wonder how Heather will factor into the show given she's sold her massive house and now lives in an LA penthouse?
