I didn't used to like LR for some reason but I find her sort of adorable since that Singing show. She brings the same adorableness to RHOBH.

I would have rather Andy not become a b*tch and apologize to Adrienne for the hilarious shade he threw her way at the reunion a couple of reunions ago. He's such a little boy on the inside.

Lisa shading Brandi was too funny. For Brandi to have all that mouth, she is rattled fairly easily.

It was good to see all the originals together. Even Cat Lady. I'm glad her and Lisa let bygones be bygones. But of course I miss Camille more than anyone. I loved her ass from day one when most hated her.

Lisa Rinna was alright. Her intro was dull, but I know she's going to bring it down the line

Kyle is so freaking needy though. That exchange between her Lisa was so awkward. She was like a whining puppy.

Major Housewives drama offscreen this week. We are replacing several women in two cities. So far its been sad and energizing all at once. Hopefully we are adding life to both series by shaking things up. I spent forty-five minutes on the phone today with one of their husbands who was begging

for his wifes job back, saying they have no backup plan, and I was telling him he never should have banked on this as his career. I had this same conversation a couple years ago with a (crying, literally) husband from another city and it is not pleasant. I feel horrible for these guys who had careers before the show and then went all-in on their wives reality TV stardom. Let me say this once and for all: bad idea. Reality TV careers arent forever. Then Ramona called upset because I had invited Jill back to play tennis for a scene. Apparently a cast revolt was brewing about her coming back for even one scene. I completely understood her point of view, actually, and we killed the shoot (which necessitated a long follow-up call with Jill).

Todays Housewife psychodrama involved me on the phone with someone in the throes of being demoted from full Housewife to recurring role. She wanted to be in the opening titles and I had to tell her no. She wanted to be in every episode, and I couldnt guarantee that either. Her husband was on

the call, of course. At one point he said, We pay our taxes, unlike some of your other non-tax-paying Housewives. Good for you! And apparently theres a former OC Wife in tears fighting her dismissal and Im expecting a call from her any minute.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2013 (RHOOC Gretchen?)

I spoke to one of the recently laid-off Housewives today. She isto put it mildlynot pleased about not being asked back to the show, and she wanted me to know that she is a businesswoman and that everything she does is through a business perspective and that she is being punished for being the

realist (real-est) Housewife. This from a woman with a generous amount of dye and Botox and fillers and all the rest. Apparently everyone tells her that her Q score is very high. I told her that I was working with different data. (People are always telling me about their high Q scores, but I guess if

people tell you they love you all day everywhere you go, why wouldnt you believe your Q scores would be through the roof?) Shes shocked we dont want to do a spinoff series with her. I told her we need to freshen up the show, and that we have two great new girls ready to come on. And she

goes, Well, that went so wrong for you with New York. And I told her it actually didnt, and that I would do that again, the season was a success because we refreshed the show. And then she asked why we are keeping Vicki on OC and I said that everyone is separate and I wasnt going to go through each woman and debate their worthiness.

the RHOBH reunion. I suspected it was going to be long and brutal

and it was. Two of the Housewives refused to sit next to Carlton because they believed that she had put spells on them, or that somehow she would put a spell on them. So there was last-minute seat

juggling. Theyd all watched the last five episodes (which havent aired yet) yesterday, so they were lathered up, especially Lisa, who gets a little ganged up on in the finale. She apparently watched them with Tyler PerryTV watching à deux I really would have liked to witness. I went into the day with the hunch that this was going to be the first and last reunion for Joyce and Carlton, and I didnt get the sense they had the same idea. Actually, I am pretty sure Carlton does know and I feel bad for herwe only showed her as a sex-starved Wiccan. In retrospect we couldve fleshed out more aspects of her life. Joyce was a river of words and was bugging the [!@#$%^&*] out of

Yolanda; as the two of them were going at it my mind turned the corner into morphing this into some other kind of alternate-universe version of the Housewives: Joyce, you are no longer a Housewife. Please leave the reunion. After about seven hours I tried to wrap it up and go into full conflict resolution with Lisa and Brandi, and Lisa and Kyle. (What one thing do you want Lisa to own right now, Kyle? Can you do that, Lisa?) I dont know if it worked but I was trying to make it all better as I saw genuine tears in Brandis and Kyles eyes and hurt in Lisas. During a break near the end, Lisa asked me what I thought of the day and I said, It is clear these girls love you, but she intimated they were only acting that way because they thought they came off badly in the finale. One of the issues here is that in every city, some of the women are simultaneously living their real lives and playing to the audiences perception of them, and that always winds up biting them in the ass. Its worse in this franchise than anywhere else, maybe because its an industry town.

We wrapped at about 9 p.m.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2014ATLANTA

I dont even know how to describe the reunion today. Messy, hows that? Kenya brought a scepter and a bullhorn (I used to love props because Id viewed them as comedy) and she was waving both in Porshas face, and Porsha just snapped. She stood up and got in Kenyas face. I stood to break them up and as soon as I did they somehow wound up on the floor with Porsha pulling Kenyas hair. It was ugly. I was upseteverybody was. My gut reaction was that we had to send Porsha home, and that she was not emotionally ready to handle going back into the verbal firing line with these women. Meanwhile she was worried shed ended her whole career in the course of ten seconds. It was a bad look for the show and the women. Kenya filed a police report against Porsha, and the other women felt that Kenya had it coming because of the props.

The NeNe one-on-one that aired on Sunday night got 3.5 million viewers. We beat the MTV Movie Awards and NBC and ABC. And all I can think of is that NeNes gonna want to raise her fee.

On my cell at the dog run, I had the most unbelievable conversation Ive had with a Housewifes husband in my seven years as an EP on the show. For twenty-five minutes he made insane, unrealistic demands and I said no. As I threw a ball to Wacha, I said no to renegotiating his wifes deal while the

series was airing and no to giving his wife a bonus for her (very low) Q score and finally no tocalling him in a week and letting him know what Im going to do to make his wife feel more loved.

The Married to Medicine reunion was actually painless and enjoyable, partly because it was set up like a tea party and there were (real) cakes and pastries littering the table, so I spent all day putting

my finger on the top of cupcakes and eating little dabs of frosting, which in retrospect is gross. Plus I cant imagine how fat I will be tomorrow. Dr. Heavenly kept saying she had a craving for crab legs, which tickled me for some reason.

everything, its amazing. She wanted to pitch me doing Bethenny Starting Over, but I had my own ideas, and turned the discussion into the (seemingly insane at first but makes sense the longer you talk about it) idea of her coming back to RHONY; and I cant believe it, but I think it worked. I made a lot of compelling arguments (good money, ensemble show, she knows what shes getting into, it would certainly be a success ratings-wise vs. this season). She is seriously considering it, and I left feeling upbeat. It would be huge for that show to get her back. Huge!!!

manager who seems to bring on a fair amount of crisis herself. Plus two of the NY ladies are mad at me. The reunion was solid. Well get two parts out of it. Tamra goes off the rails at the reunion. Heather was thoughtful and deliberate. Lizzie left crying. I felt horrible for her.
