Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Sadly, Marcusa is no longer a HW on RHOM, so Andy can't ask him! But I sure hope Larsa talks about this and their ex-relationship on the show. HOWEVER! I speculate that  Larsa signed an NDA after they broke up, so that the Jordan family wouldn't have to worry about loose lips. And that will mean for another consecutive season, Larsa will deflect, deflect, deflect. I do hope the other women comment about the coke-snorting, although I suspect Marysol and Alexia will somewhat suspiciously clam up, too, lol.

I've got the polar opposite opinion. I love the reunions and cannot stand the cheapo After Shows which give everything away for free. They have eroded the power of a three-part reunion. Bravo cannot control the social media RH ecosystem and gossip blogs, but it can control this. It should can the After Shows and keep Reunions 'special.' I live for the tense build-up, the crazy dresses (hello, outfit watch) and the fact that issues from the season are ostensibly laid out on the table all in one go. It represents a kind of catharsis and closure to the season for the cast, and the audience.

I forgot to add to this earlier but since I'm still up after two days of defrosting my fridge, I would like to add it right now.

I am PROReunion for the same reasons above.

And RHOA S10 is the perfect example. Wig spent that whole season talking trash behind everyone's back as well as putting crap that people did not know about in her scenes. So the reunion was the perfect place for the cast to deal with it and hold her accountable. No reunion means she would have just lied all over the place. When confronted, she still lied, but we as an audience and they as the cast got got a catharsis of watching the whole cast give her what she deserved....a gang-up. And the audience gave closure to that sentence. And cherry on top was Wig putting her own nail in the coffin with her racism rant.

Toxic though it was...NJ...given they had a bombshell on their finale and fans online going back over the timeline of everything which sounds like it would have EXPOSED Marge...could have benefited from a reunion for closure.

The only problem with reunions now is that some Production *cough*andAndy*cough* be playing favorites and doing things to stop said closure.

Honorable mentions...RHOP S5, NY S10, all Miami reunions to date.

ALSO...look at all the seasons (and shows like some of the more dramatic seasons of BELOW DECK as well as the Eboni season of NY) feel incomplete without their reunions. So very much needed.

They are not called the Super Bowl for Housewives fans for nothing.

Exactly so. S10 RHOA would have been nothing without a Reunion reckoning which was MANY years overdue. It finally made Kim Z accountable. One could argue that RHOA S9 reunion did also, regarding Kandi and Phaedra. "THE LIES, THE LIES!" In fact, RHOA is often (though not always) good at channeling a better reunion to save a poor season.

Reunion is the Superbowl, it is the build-up, and the finale is the bridge into such an event. Problems are rarely solved meaningfully in the finale, but they have potential to be dealt with at Reunion.

And yes Andy plays favorites all the time, but he's pumped to be doing Reunion. They are a feather in his cap.

Taking a more recent example, can you imagine if SLC had decided to forego reunion after that barnstorming finale? Reunion brought all the cast together for the first time since Bermuda to hash it out. The fact that SLC had, mostly successfully, hidden the season's big reveal over the course of filming meant that Reunion was more important than ever, and the live viewing figures surged as a result.

Now that I've gotten sleep and one job out of the way lol. Well like @NothinButAttitude said anyone is going to bring it up...I bet on Adriana.

I first i ignored it, but it seems like it has gotten all kinds of traction. And so soon after his Larsa breakup reveal, too. smh.

I like the chart because like I've said all season...while dynamics have shifted...the couches do match who has really been around who for the most part. And I'm all for the Brooks/Sara duo (and Lesa makes 3). And it does seem Ayan is with the other two per Tuesday's WWHL.

I knew I forgot some good reunions re: RHOA S9 and the recent SLC reunion. Tbf Kandi v Shady Phae Phae was also building up from tail end of S7 to S9 as well. And RHOA for sure can take a meh season and usually give a great reunion. And the first to give an awesome online reunion.

And that reminds me...reunions do too be referenced on the shows. Even if it's the generic 'the last time I saw them...' usually with a cued flashback to the reunion.

I thought Lesa earned her first seat. Now Ayan... meh. She earned 2nd at best. But I guess b/c their friendship breakup was the biggest selling point, it makes sense. Honestly, I just hope Lesa is wary of Ayan going forward. I am sure they made amends at the reunion; however, I would never fully trust her again if I were Lesa.

Never in my life did I ever think RHOC would be thebest  show of the franchise but she is that girl. That dinner party was EVERYTHING and much better than what RHONJ gave. This is reminding me of RHOSLC last season where every episode was great

Vicki needs to be a Friend. She adds so much and  is a familar face that fits in

Tamra is a !@#$%^&*]. I like her and find her enjoyable but the way she is going at Shannon  who was her friend is disgusting. She is acting like Rinna and thats not a compliment

Alexis looks so stupid but she makes for a good villian

Katie...I like her but she's dying on the wrong hill. Who cares if Heather called paps on herself? Thats such an LA thing to do and they are blowing this up to be a big deal

I love Jen's energy. She's a calming, yet interesting presence

I cant wait to see Emily have a downfall. She is feeling herself too mcuh and needs to get knocked down a peg or two

And this is why Jen said she may be broke but she wont look broke unlike Gina. Girl where is your stylist? She looks like she got this at Ross Dress 4 Less and that wig from Party City

NJ

The 'Off the Rails' finale rewatch episode was yet another dud. Nothing was resolved and nothing new was discussed.

Teresa remains the Missing Link between the Neanderthals and Mankind. She is too stupid to function and her obsession with Margaret will never end. It really is time to give her a spinoff so her fans can enjoy whatever it is she does...the show cannot move on with her remaining a cast member.

Time to reboot and recast the whole thing.

Watching this mess and seeing the divided seating, I would be happy if they finally cut their OG along with her sloppy sidekick Jenn Aydin, drop jittery Jackie altogether, and focus on the other table. (Switzerland Dolores can stay too). After all these years, I find myself being Team Melissa even though I side-eye how she joined the show in the first place, but Teresa is just a empty headed monster whom I've grown tired of seeing.

But Bravo/Andy refuses to part ways with Teresa, so we'll never get that. It's sad that this particular franchise imploded like this, but Bravo has no one to blame but themselves. The fact they thought this cast could crank out another season shows how shortsighted they are.

Jersey:

For whatever reason, the producers have always seemed unwilling to do cast changes even when things get boring, stale, or downright toxic.

Dubai:

From what I'm hearing.. Aylan thinks she and her 'team' (Stanbury/Taleen) won the reunion.. while Lesa was delusional thinking she was best dressed.  Lesa's hubby is a saint being married to her.

OC:

While season 18 is a strong season, I do see the same element that has hurt Jersey brewing on this show.  Tamra is too evil and I think she needs to exit after this season.. and she can take Gina with her.

NY:

Brynn, acting quite the ditz on WWHL, did state that Jenna/Erin were the MVP's of season 2... and I'm hoping that means Jenna is finally playing with the other cast members instead of pulling that whole 'oh I'm so shy and awkward' persona last season.  I still hate that abusive Ubah was allowed to come back when she should be kicked off the show.

    • Right--I did think of that, as it was around the same few years.  Accents I guess...
    • It is an insult. To the viewer's intelligence. Everything in this show in the past 4 years has been horribly conceived, produced like a cheap tik-tok video, without any build up or psychological reasoning, and then re-written to level 0 in couple of weeks (where everything is ABSOLUTELY the same as it was before it happened). People get gravely sick and then recover in 5 episodes, because of miracle cures. People get killed and un-killed in the most cartoonish Scooby-Doo scenarios, people get pardoned after killing 2 innocent victims, people become and unbecome CEOs with the snap of a finger. But when you look around in a month or two or three... it's like absolutely nothing has happened. Nobody has grown... or evolved... or changed. We still have Steffy talking to Ridge how Hope and her mother are not worthy. We still have Brooke crying about something that Ridge said. We still have Hope at the same emotional limbo she's been put in ever since Brad decided she needs a re-vamp and made her a ho. EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. Only the Taylors change every few seasons and become increasingly younger. The problem I have with Liam's storyline is the problem I have with every storyline - why should I care if he is dying or sick with cancer when I haven't seen him in 2 years?!! Why go from 0 to a 100 like that. The same way with Sheila... who was backburned for months... before getting fake-killed for ratings. Why would we care about that... when Sheila was a non-entity before that.  Or why should I care for Brooke... when she's been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of a character for years... to now all of a sudden re-birthed into a lingerie queen and CEO?   Back in the day, we... the viewers of this horrible show... cared and loved to see characters struggle from point A to point B. We wanted to see the build up, the makings of something. Not get a finished result that is undone after a week or two. When Brooke became CEO in 1993... we cheered because it mattered and because she gave HER ALL to get to that point. It was a revenge after years and years of abuse, being slapped around like a homeless dog by Stephanie. She plotted and calculated her every move. But she was also raw and hurt. She was both opportunist and a heroine. She had dept and dimensions. THAT WAS A CHARACTER. That was a human being.   My diagnosis is that at this point Bradley Bell doesn't care. Bold is living off of past history, fans being loyal, the show being 18 minutes of crap that people watch to laugh at. He sees the ratings are still okay and even improving and he DOES NOT GIVE A S-IT. He is even more motivated to continue with the current style of trash. It will only get worse from this day on.  He is way pass the period where he wanted to tell stories or impress the viewers with anything. (Not that he was particularly good about that anyways) I would not even be surprised if he is writing this drivel on complete auto-pilot at this point. Maybe he asks Chat GPT what to write each week. That's how it feels. IF IT'S THE OPPOSITE... and he is trying and that's the BEST HE CAN DO?!!! Then we are really f-cked.  Even Bradley Bell was NOT THAT HORRIBLE guys. But times change and people age... and that's all I'm going to say.
    • -- Really good episode today, with a lot more happening than I expected. -- SilkPress is great, but I don't see the need to criticize Dani/KM when supporting Leslie. -- That being said, I don't like Dani with Andre. I think they should end that as soon as possible. -- Very lame that Vanessa and Doug weren't there. If they want to impress on us that Vanessa is Nicole's best friend, they need to do better. -- Brandon Claybon continues to improve as Martin, and his relationship with Smitty finally feels real. -- Dr. Carlton is, as others have posted, fine as fck. We need more.
    • As much as I have hyped the looks on this show, those dresses did not impress today. Since the premeire, there's only been one look that I can truly say IMO didn't work (and it honestly wasn't even that bad). It was an outfit Dani wore. These flowly wide leg trousers and it was paired with a loose top with a cowl neck. However, I didn't LOVE a single dress on any of the ladies today. Kat's was great only because it suits the character and her personality - so an A for that. It's a good dress. Dana's was also really nice. Everyone else either just was meh, had something unflattering about the fit, or didn't really fit the vibe.  Also, this isn't BTG's fault. It's just the state of soap operas today, but that event felt empty. Tables of 3

I mean it was nice that they had some extras on there, but it definitely didn't feel like an event when the family was pretty much ever table there.  That was a nice end to the episode and I wonder how this is going to unfold.
    • I was looking at the AWHP synopses from the period where Quinn had a stalker in 1984 and it refers to pranks and phone calls. Does anybody remember what the pranks were? Or were they just disturbing phone calls?
    • Same. Things were really coming together the last moment of the show. I wish we had more time with it.
    • Exactly when did Ada's kitchen become the "centerpiece of the action"? And which set was the centerpiece of the action before that???    Another World premiered in 1963, and Ada didn't even arrive until 1967.  And then, Ada and Rachel lived in a small apartment.  A couple of years later, Ada married Ernie Downs and moved into his house. So the kitchen so identified with Ada, was actually in the house Ada inherited from her husband Ernie after he died.   I'd suggest Ada's kitchen did not become the centerpiece of the action (if it ever was) until around the time Mary Matthews died, and Rachel began her romance with her second millionaire husband, MacKenzie Cory.  Others might disagree, but that doesn't offend me in the least.
    • The last scene of the final episode did show that life on Wisteria Lane would continue on once the toxic housewives moved away. It won't be as good as the original, but I'm intrigued to see what these new people do with the concept.
    • This underscores the biggest issue that the show needs to work on.   The majority of the characters on the show are all related to one another, which is why we have that B&B esque Dani/Andre hook up situation
