Janet is such a gossip! "Gina has a friend named Venus, who used to be Venus the Penis, then Vanessa, but now back to Venus." She is messy as hell. Is that true? Was Venus a man?

What's interesting to me is how intimidated and competitive these BH housewives feel with each other. LVP is acutely aware that Bravo is pushing Erika as the 'queen' of BH. Dorit wants to be Erika with the glam squad and crazy VT looks. Rinna wants to be pimp momma Yolanda with her kids' modelling careers.

Actually it's funny to me how people say LVP holds a grudge; Rinna cannot let go of LVP/Munchausengate, or the Kim stuff, or even how Yolanda treated her. With Yolanda especially, I feel Rinna is dying to outdo her in the pimpmommy stakes. (And speaking of the OG pimpmommy, I hope the new modeling show/escort service Yolanda is peddling exposes her true unsavoury self).

Kyle has all this money now but still cannot dress for her height or shape. And weren't Birkin bags a thing 5 years ago?

Erika is so thirsty to be seen and be the hottest thing on Bravo. She and her YASS KWEEN glam squad are a bit exhausting. Whoever does her makeup is a genius, but her pigtailed VT look is an epic fail.

Wow, Siggy is a b-tch. Even if she didn't accept the apology, she could have acknowledged it instead of giving Margaret the silent treatment. "I want to believe you are not antisemitic but if I hurt your feelings, Im sorry for that." BITCH! She cant own her sh-t.

@Cheap21 Not just a total b*tch, but I am convinced that Siggy is certifiable. All the HWs are probably nuts in one form or another, but Siggy is approaching Kelly-Bensimon-on-Scary-Island levels of unhinged. Kelly had the excuse of a possible chemical imbalance/mental break -- with Siggy it seems like the very act of joining RHoNJ has made her crazy. She is obsessed with her position on the show and making Margaret the enemy. She is still screaming all over Twitter about Soggy and Hitler and apparently has now sicced PETA on Margaret because M's hubby has some kind of stuffed animal in the family home? Sounds like outright harassment at this point; I'm not even that much of a Margaret fan, but I don't understand what she has done to receive this abuse.

It's not even for the show as Reunion and filming have both wrapped. Siggy seems like she is off her meds, big-time.

@Cat I was just going to come on here and say that I hope Siggy's behavior is Bravo-induced in order to have some sort of drama for the show, but if she's still taking this on via Twitter, she's just looneytunes.

What are we up to, episode 12 next week? I hope 13 is the finale. If all they have going is Soggy Flickabooger's tears over the Soggy and Hitler remarks, this will go down as another weak season. The Posche fashion show was just a non-factor with dopey Kim D. Danielle's return didn't pack a punch that we'd hoped for.

At this point, this show is just around to help Teresa Guidice's financial problems. Add to that, NYC has garnered higher ratings than NJ on Wednesdays.

Aww I’ve actually really enjoyed this season. Jersey at one point was completely unwatchable, I thought this was a nice return to form. And it helps that there was a clear cut nutjob villain this season with a loyal henchman.

I was over Siggy after episode one, and she somehow solidifies to more and more each episode. The non acknowledgement of Marge’s apology to her non apology to Marge. This bitch is delusional. Hoping this is her final season.

I would agree that NJ is watchable again -- in a downsized, light way which it has never been before. Siggy aside, the toxicity has been reined in, and it feels more digestible in this 13-episode package. Let's be real, this is make or break for NJ after the past 3 or 4 seasons. And yes, Siggy seems to have embraced her role as the villain with no ambiguity.

She's still cuckoo, though. Seriously off. And I too thought her non-acknowledgement of Margaret's apology was spoiled, ill-mannered and rude. She'd be dead to me if she'd pulled that ish with me.

Siggy is a pig. Full of drama, full of excuses, and full of sh*t. She is a horrendous person. Team Margaret all the way. If Siggy is complaining about the editing I have only one thing to say: they can't edit what you don't give them.

BH:

Just rewinding the opening episode and I had to stop and listen again to Erika begging DWTS to call her for their 'Champion of Champions' show.

Since when was Erika a 'champion' on DWTS? What is this revisionist history?? Wasn't she booted off in, like, Week 4? After time spent in a couple of dance-offs?

She also said that she'd be perfect for the show because she "can play the game now." You mean, not come across as an icy, disdainful beyotch who doesn't talk to the other peasants? Because I guarantee that was the reason why America did not warm to her. Congrats on coming to that conclusion one year later tho!

In other BH news, looks like Brandi Glanville has finally cottoned onto the fact that Yolanda was using her for the cameras:

Given that up until 3 hours ago she was still ranting and raving about all things RHONJ and siccing her followers on Margaret, sounds to me like she got fired by Bravo. She was waaaay too invested in keeping this fight going on social media to have suddenly stepped down from the show. No doubt she will pretend it was her decision to go, though.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.

New episode from late 1973 or early 1974!
    • Coronation Street had a very good story where one of the characters befriended a man who she later learned had been involved in her husband's death - when told right it can be very powerful (not like AMC trying to make it a romance). ATWT almost had a big fire in mid-1994, so this seemed to be a "thing" with P&G at the time. I guess it fits the disaster backstage atmosphere.
    •   @jmgaw did not refer to Luke and Laura. Throughout 78 GH's ratings continued to rise as AW's fell. That turnaround was getting a lot of attention in the soap press with Scotty/Laura, Rick/Leslie/Monica etc . So the 90 min decision was a reaction to that. I guess the thinking was that 60 min expansion had worked so starting AW a half hour before might keep viewers from switching to GH at 3pm. I don't think anybody really thought it would work. The most sensible solution would have been to expand The Doctors and hope for a GH like turnaround, but for reasons unknown TD never went to an hour.
