tbh I am resentful that they filmed Reunion so early. The heat will be on Brandi but IMO the last few episodes really have exposed Kim for the dessicated, mean manipulator that she is. Unfortunately, we probably won't get Andy or the public's tweets relating to that aired at all.

And I know it sounds like I am picking on a helpless addict -- there is addiction, but there is also being accountable for your own meanness and bullying, and I think Kim needs to be called to the carpet about that.

Rinna and Yolanda look amazing.

Vanderpump looks imperial.

Kyle looks good but I've seen her wear that red before.

Kim (apart from the hair) looks surprisingly good in fuschia.

Brandi's hair is great but her dress looks like full-body Spanx.

Eileen's hair and hoop earrings are so wrong and she looks like she is going to Prom. Her Bond Girl Amsterdam hair was flawless. But whatever. She's a Queen in my eyes.

I heard that Kim got just as much heat than Brandi did. Kim just pissed off less people than Brandi.

But Lips is too extra in that trailer. She's already secured a spot for next season as she has the fan's adulation but I see the reunion shooting her in the foot. Lips will be back next season, but I see the audience flipping on her b/c she plays up to the camera too much.

I am so glad that Eileen and Lisa V gave Brandi the business in a calm, collected manner. When Brandi can't rile people up, she gets pissed.

I am so over Kyle crying. B-tch, write Kim off and she'll clean her act up. Kim only acts like that b/c she knows Kyle will never get rid of her.

Eileen's dress looks spectacular and I love the blue.

The trailer was very basic. Brandi's come back to Rinna was priceless. Rinna's looks very phony and fake in it. I don't see her performing well at all. Kyle crying at the end was kinda sad in a not so good way.

Bringing up the dog attack was a kind of a low blow but it's clear she doesn't give an eff any more. Neither of them do. Should be interesting.

Brandi is still talking about Lisa and Ken...this girl.

I tend to wonder if reunions do more harm than good for this show. I'm sure someone might say Brandi (with help from Andy as always) "dragged" or "slayed" Joyce at last year's reunion, but the ratings were still weak for season 4, and remained weak for season 5, in spite of extensive efforts to turn things around. If she "drags" or "slays" Kyle or Rinna or Eileen at the reunion (likely with more help from Andy), does that warrant another season of unpleasant, repetitive storylines, and weak ratings?

It's the same with Atlanta. Porsha "dragged" or "slayed" Kenya last year, and stayed on when it seemed to be her time to go. She's shoehorned into many episodes, even when demoted, and ratings are down by 1/3 from last season. I doubt she's the only reason, but it can't help.

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.  These episodes aren't consecutive, but if you ever have time, they are worth a watch. They are bits and pieces from January and April of 1979 - April in and out of prison, her past calling to her via her psychic powers (and the suicide of Miles' wife Denise, who had murder framing in mind). April 1979 has the end of Winter Austen (such a fantastic soap name).  I don't want to drop a ton of links but you can find playlists on Youtube.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
