“General Hospital” averaged more than two million viewers for the 11th time in 12 weeks.
“The Young and the Restless” averaged more than three million viewers for the eighth consecutive week.
Much of CBS’ daytime lineup was preempted for two out of five days during the week of March 16-20, 2026, due to the network’s annual coverage of NCAA March Madness. Despite the interruption, every show on the network saw year-to-year gains among Households and Total Viewers.
The second half-hour of “The Price is Right” tied its season high among Women 18-49 (0.42 rating), with its best performance in the key demographic in 11 weeks (since the week of December 29, 2025 – January 2, 2026), while its first half-hour tied its season high among Women 25-54 (0.59 rating). The second half-hour was up +0.06 week-to-week in Women 18-49 (0.42 rating vs. 0.36 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.62 vs. 0.56 rating), and was up +0.04 and +0.05 year-to-year, respectively. “The Young and the Restless” attracted its largest audience in four weeks and marked its eighth consecutive week above the three-million-viewer mark, with 3.348 million viewers tuning in to what’s happening in Genoa City. With the largest week-to-week gain across daytime broadcast, the series was up +118,000 viewers and +290,000 year-over-year. In Women 18-49, the soap was up +0.04 week-to-week (0.27 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and up +0.03 year-over-year (0.45 rating vs. 0.42 rating), ranking fourth across daytime broadcast in both demographics. “The Bold and the Beautiful” averaged 2.947 million viewers, up +109,000 week-to-week and +346,000 year-over-year. The half-hour soap opera attracted its largest audience in four weeks and its third-best of the season. Households: 1.9
With 2.138 million viewers tuning in, “General Hospital” saw a week-to-week increase of +48,000 viewers and a year-to-year gain of +213,000. The long-running soap opera has now averaged more than two million viewers for the 11th time in 12 weeks. “Beyond the Gates” marked its second consecutive year-over-year gain, up +31,000 viewers, with 1.716 million Gatekeepers enjoying what’s happening in Fairmont Crest. The daytime drama series was up +0.03 week-to-week in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.15 rating) and up +0.01 week-to-week in Women 25-54 (0.26 rating vs. 0.25 rating), topping time slot competitor “General Hospital” in both demographics. Compared to the prior performance of former time slot occupant “The Talk” during the same week in 2024, the talk show’s final year on television, “Beyond the Gates” was up +486,000 viewers (1.716 million vs. 1.230 million), up +0.02 in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.16 rating), up +0.3 in Households (1.1 rating vs. 0.8 rating), while flat among Women 25-54 (0.26 rating).
