Ruxton, I am going to apologize for the what I said before. I came off to strong and I am sorry. It's just the gut feeling, and something you just do that instant.

People always think I genuinely only want to hate on that show. But it sucks so bad right now and has for at least the past year. The Adam reveal and payoff weren't thrilling to watch at all, talk about an anticlimactic mess.

I remember when no one other soaps did the payoffs Y&R used to give, now even when there is a reveal or payoff, I'm asking myself, "That's it?" or "What the the f.uck was that?"

And as I said before, what the hell was settled with this payoff/revelation? It felt like nothing happened in the end and we're on our way to some lame murder mystery.

No need to. You feel passionate about your show. I just remember the days when AMC was better. I think it still needs a major overhaul and a move wasnt the problem. They need better vision for this show. They(ABC/Frons) have had enough chances to do it right. Yet, they think by moving it will solve their problems. So when I see shitty ratings for them it makes me happy because Frons will never learn. Greenlee returns and returns and returns...it gets dull and ridiculous pretty fast.

I am sorry too if I came off too strong as well.wink.gif

It's ok.

But I agree that Fron's has SCREWED up all the ABC shows since he came aboard....What was ABC thinking in hiring this man...

The way this story was RUSHED you can tell they wanted to get this crappy s/l out of the way POST HASTE and they didn't care how they did it. And I concur LOL. I want it GONE. So the fact that they even got a +.1 increase, I will take it. And they had a pretty decent Friday for what appears to be over 1/2 million more people tuning in from what they had on Thursday..that's pretty good. Now can they sustain it,I haven't got a clue but I am going give them a handshake for the past week.

That was...sad, yeah sad, lol. I think Friday was also the follow up to Phyllis about to light the match on the Faith reveal letter (Thursday).

Umm, please do not get me started LOL!! As I said I want to forget this storyline ever happened even moreso that this was MAB trying to show me what a genius she is.:rolleyes:

Yeah, you are right...did she or did she not burn the letter?!!! Inquiring minds wanted to know apparently.

I agree with you.

But for a s/l like this to have to be so rushed, I don't think this s/l was going down well with the network probably and certainly not us viewers. So this is one time I won't complain about the speed of the writing. Move it along and quickly please, let's got onto something else.

They have completely destroyed a legacy character and subjected viewers to a year of all this endless torture and women being violated left and right. All for this one week of Grambo and Ridge Nick on the warpath. Of all the stories on Y&R at the moment I thought this was the one that would get more of an increase.

Whoops, yes. I forgot to list Jason. He would definitely go. Unless there was a way to bring back his Q memories and make him a doctor, or something...but yes, Jason would definitely be gone most likely.

Gotta say that for a cancelled show, ATWT is doing fairly well in viewers. Show came within 75,000 viewers of tieing GH for fifth place and beat OLTL. A show normally drops after the ax falls but World Turns has been oddly steady for quite a while now. It has a loyal core following and, with the right team, could be rehabed. Even the demos are pretty close to the other bottom four shows.

As for Y&R, the show is a dud. I know all of you hated Latham's vision; however, under her direction the show was still Y&R as opposed to this [!@#$%^&*]. I doubt they will ever be able to rid the show of Ma Bell but, honestly, they should beg Latham to return.

I see some of the same characters but this is no longer the same program we've all been watcing for decades and should be renamed The Young and the Victor.

    • I did not care, just clarifying that was the discussion point. If there are ice cream bars in Statesville I am sure there is a full spa
    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
