I didn't think FV had that kind of pull in those major casting decisions. Strange and sad if true. But I'm sure Frons was the man behind the man.

It's a terrible shame but I'm just extremely grateful that OLTL told a three-dimensional gay storyline, used a gay and lesbian canvas, had a lot of courage and told a complete love story without anyone going blind, getting raped, becoming a serial killer out of internalized bigotry, kissing their opposite-sex in-laws, being adopted into the same family or marrying a straight person. It is the most complete and most groundbreaking gay story on American daytime and no one can take that away from the show.

    I don't think they'd gut the cast to bring Patrick back for a short stint.

    I agree, but I don't think these firings are related to any Patrick return. I think this was someone deciding the ratings losses were down to the fringe characters who happened to be part of a story that a lot of viewers loathed.

    Valenti would have to get Frons' approval to fire so many people. It is ridiculous that they are cutting so many supporting players and keeping the dreck that are the ball and chain around OLTL's neck. None of the people fired are the major problems at OLTL.

    Well I recently started taping OLTL daily (back in December) only to watch KISH (and slowly started enjoying Gina as Kelly again...) - but I'm done. This is horrible news and I'm taking it off my DVR schedule in April.
