She will really come off as desperate, needy, doesn't know how to let go, based her whole persona and life on one role... She just shoots herself, her enemies can just sit and watch the whole car crash unravel in real time before their eyes. I see it as someone who trying ot show that Y&R probably would have done better getting her to write some eppy.
