January 25, 201015 yr Member imdb.com has a blurb in their news section and I've seen articles on the front pages of many news organization's websites today as well. Its nice to see he is getting alot of recognition. Its so sad. I have been watching various clips of Palmer on youtube over the last few days. He really never missed a beat, even in the past few years when he was obviously frail. I really hope they do a good send off on AMC.

James Mitchell the All My Children star died Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

January 26, 201015 yr Member A Tribute is going to be planned. James Mitchell Memorial AMC is gearing up for a moving tribute to James Mitchell (Palmer), who passed away on Friday, January 22, but a source says the memorial won't air until the spring. The show wants to wait until newly anointed head writers Donna Swajeski and David Kreizman have started, and can do actor and character justice. "The memorial will be really beautiful," promises the insider. http://soapoperadige.../news/breaking/
January 27, 201015 yr Member I don't understand why AMC is waiting for HacKreizman to be settled onto the show to "do the actor and character justice" UGH! What does he know about Palmer?? Hopefully Broderick is in on this, and Swajeski has more of an influence than HacKreizman.
January 27, 201015 yr Member Broderick is the right one to do the job of a Palmer memorial. Hopefully she'll still be around that time. Hopefully they can get Gillian Spencer, Taylor Miller, one of the Bobby's to come back....
January 27, 201015 yr Member Waiting until spring could have it's benefits, they can do lot's of planning ahead and work toward's bringing back a lot of old fav's, and developing a way to do all of this. I hope they take advantage of this time and don't really wait until the showkiller hacks come in. Crossing my fingers.

Hopefully they can get Gillian Spencer, Taylor Miller, one of the Bobby's to come back.... ITA, she is definitely the one for the job. She knows Palmer, she'd do him justice. I think Taylor Miller would be willing to come back for sure, she came for the Anniversary shows...I think she would come back for the funeral as Nina. Gillian Spencer was Daisy Cortlandt, right? And she wrote for AMC before I think?? Yeah, hopefully they can get her to come, to. It would be nice.
January 27, 201015 yr Member I tried to upload my fave Mitchell dance number on film, the One Alone pas de deux from Deep In My Heart with Cyd Charisse--but it won't let me include the audio. Boo The Spring isn't that long a wait--it's usually 6-8 weeks before they have a funeral episode, isn't it?
