Y&R: Potpourri Thread 3

Yes, crazy Tricia was entertaining. But I'm not saying another word, because I'm terrified that there is another blonde whose name might be invoked...and that terrifies me. Unlike Tricia, that one has too many potential connections still left on the canvas.

Chris wasn't that bad :P

Mark, I didn't really like the catfight very much either. The rest of the story, at least up to the time of the tedious Mac/Billy stuff, and Billy's constant yelling at Jill, I thought was great, and that was one of the times that Jill and Katherine were generally written as being both bad and good, instead of evil Jill and saint Kay.

This is from the episode discussion but it felt more like potpourri material to me.

Now Nick has to be propped by TPTB cause the character has been almost totally destroyed.

It's sad that I will side with Adam over Nick despite all the evil Adam has done.

Truly, at the time, the pure contrivance of it took me out of the story. Oh, I laughed at the catfight and Shirley the maid and all the rest of it. I enjoyed the actresses...but I just felt that writing an Odd Couple story for them was so far beneath the really goosebump-inducing rivalries of ages past. WLS this week posted a rare Kay-Deborah Adair scene (yup, my favorite Jill). And in it, Kay goes to the Foster house and threatens to reveal Jill's true nature to John. And even for those two, the hate-chemistry was palpable and totally riveting.

You excuse Queen MAB's crap but won't see the merits of the Chancellor story and say it was pure contrivance? mellow.gif

Just teasing you Mark. Two slutty blondes on this show is enough. I'm suprised Paul Raunch hasn't brought her back, she's right up his ally.

Brittany <3

The Bug <3

I wouldn't mind if they came back. Under better writing regime.

M.I.F.D. I wonder if we can make that more interesting?

M.A.R.K. Mark's Awful Ridiculous .... What could the K's be??

Or is he up hers? Sorry!

ETA: Well, I thought of a possible use of the "K", making a play one one of Alvin's favorite phrases:

No.

We need something to clearly establish that the storylines/characters are great, but you hate them with a passion that makes no sense, because there are others, far worse, which you don't mind at all. :)

I'll come up with something.
