January 5, 201016 yr Member To be fair, though, there were a lot of relevant mentions that they missed. Phoebe, Kate, Leora, Leo, etc. Touche. Babe alone got several segments from JR & Krystal. It wouldn't have killed TPTB to let Frankie & Natalia or Frankie/Randi/Brot/Natalia to have another scene or two together. Love that Randi waxed poetic about the Hubbards being her family, then at the end, we see the Hubbard family, and it doesn't include her. I like the scenes with Ryan/Emma Emma wanting to be on tv. January 5, 201016 yr Member Yes, indeed. I LOVE IT! You know, I didn't want to be mean, but when they came to her it just brought things to a screeching halt for me. Sorry. I just love it when they work in some of that classic AMC clarinet/oboe. Gets me every time. When they flashed the word "Hope" next to Hayley's face, who else said aloud, "& Faith"?

There was too much Babe, especially considering they were only using clips of Amanda Baker, and also considering they're really trying to push Marissa as Babe Lite. It would have been snicker-worthy if Frankie mentioned the son he had but don't have no more. January 5, 201016 yr Member It is. But if TPTB script an episode THIS good to celebrate AMC's anniversary there's NO excuse for the regular writing to be SO bad. It's so true, and I went into this thing guarded, out of disappointment with the show's state and protection of my wonderful memories, I've been kinda building up an emotional wall with this show for a good while now. But they always come through with stuff like this. I don't know if that's to the credit of whatever the current regime is, or if it's a credit to the rich, indelible history of the show that has stood the test of crap time. January 5, 201016 yr Author Member So I think it's clear Pratt didn't write this, right? Not sure. But I thought that 10,000 episode was good too and un-Pratt like.
January 5, 201016 yr Member I like the scenes with Ryan/Emma at the end and of the Hubbard Family. I am glad that Randi wasn't in the scene with the Hubbards together. LOL..I noticed that as well. I thought it was going to include her when Frankie joined his parents, but Natalia was the other female instead
January 5, 201016 yr Member I liked it overall. Best part for me was Agnes at the end. The worst part was Ryan claiming he was out there taking a headcount after the tornado when he was really doing Greenlee in some shed.

I want to say something very wrong I thought I'd read Eva la Rue wasn't asked back. So she was? I haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm glad it sounds good.
January 5, 201016 yr Member Oooh, speaking of Eva La Rue. I hated Maria for the most part, but that brief second of her tearing up over Julia's death? Very powerful. I almost stopped breathing because I was that in to the scene. Good work, ELR. Sometimes, AMC just makes me proud to be a fan. I'm looking forward to this era of new beginnings, for real. Zendall's gone, Pratt's gone, Aidan's gone. Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes, if you will. I'm holding out hope. I want to be addicted to my show again. I want to look forward to a new episode every day again. I want to always know what's going on at every moment again! Don't let me down, PV!
