I remember reading in SOD that Liza started dyeing her hair because of her strong resemblance to her mother when naturally brunette. They had a small pic of her with dark hair in the article and she did look like Susan though I've always seemed to see more of her father in her, probably because she has Helmut's nose. While very pretty, her new cat eyes disturb me a little. She does resemble Minshew though now.

Aaaaah, I love the 1980 picture. If I feel like it, I might watch Tom and Erica's wedding late tonight. That skin tone...aaah it drives me crazy. And the hair! She's gorgeous now, but I prefer her "ethnic" look too. In her Emmy speech, she actually thanked AMC's casting director (or maybe Agnes, I'm not sure) for seeing her as more than just "an ethnic type."

Yeah, at that time, she would've typically been cast as either Italian or Hispanic. There were times in montages where I would see flashes of 1980's Lucci and almost ask myself... Who is that Puerto Ric-- oh, right!

Anyone who believes Susan Lucci to be a master thespian needs to watch just one scene w/ Erica "crying" to be convinced otherwise.

That being said, though, I always thought Looch does a much better job at comedy than she does at tragedy.
