Lorraine Broderick not headwriter of AMC

I think it's a case of classic journalist not knowing what he is talking about. Perhaps he read in her bio she was the HW and then just "prolonged" her tenure...

Yeah, I highly doubt an 80+ year old woman is up to HW-ing an hour show, especially with all the backstage politics involved with that show, not to mention the move to LA. I still maintain that, unfortunately, ABC and Frons were relatively happy with Pratt's writing and that there was something big that suddenly caused them to fire him or him to quit. And I think Lorraine returned as a favor to Agnes or to Frons just to keep the ship running smoothly until a permanent HW is found. I think it's just a short-term thing until they can find someone else.

In this case, the NY Times is completely wrong. Agnes isn't the headwriter, or ghost headwriter. She isn't dictating dialogue to Lorraine. Where do you people get this stuff??? Site your sources if you know this for fact.

Um... in case you hadn't noticed, we were all being incredibly facetious.

On this board it's hard to tell!!!!!!!!!

I think it's deeper than indecision or a temporary run. I think Frons is anxious not to publicize that someone with a pedigree at AMC predating himself, an older woman no less, from "old daytime" is writing the show. Don't want anyone to get the wrong message; it's his house.

Well, we try to play UP to our audience... and then, of course, some fanatic will use the word "Pod" and then any credibility for being an intelligent board goes down the tubes.

Take with a huge grain of salt considering the source, but someone at SOC is saying that ABC is in talks with Lynn Latham to be HW of AMC.

She is definitely someone I could see Frons liking.

However I see that this LML "news" is that poster's first and only post there so I will tell myself for now that there's nothing to it.

Yeah that's why I didn't put alot of stock in it, and this person didn't list their source, which to me means they don't have one

Oh, I thought this was going to happen when she was fired from Y&R! He waited too long!
