The recast must mean that Patrick will end up in bed with her soon enough. I can't think of any other reason unless the other actress was a problem on the set. Robin really does deserve better than this. Guza thinks that she is lucky that any man give her a second look apparently. I would like her to have a new love interest. Maybe Steve Webber is a possiblity.

I'll take a wild stab that we will be seeing lots of Lisa in her underwear for Patrick to catch an eye full once Brianna Brown takes over role. If they can bring a woman on for Patrick, surely they can bring a man on for Robin. What about Antonio Sabato Jr.? He and KMc had chemistry on Night Shift 2.

So many times I have wished that Robin was never made HIV+. Guza and Phelps use it as an excuse to tie her to Patrick and not give her another love interest. Patrick gets to be with other women, but she can only sleep with him. It is a combination of laziness, poor storytelling, and bigotry. However, CarlD2 did make a good point that if Robin was not HIV+, she might have been killed off ages ago or never brought back to GH.

GH is a soap full of couples that are stale or have run their course. Robin/Patrick, Maxie/Spinelli, Jason/Sam, Carly/Jax and Lucky/Liz have nowhere interesting to go as romantic couples. Guza breaks up and reunites them every a year or so to shake them up, but he refuses to invest in new couples to refresh the canvas. I know that some of this has got to be ABC dictated because this recycling of the same boring couples over and over also happens on AMC and OLTL.

There are other ways for GH to go in its couples. Jax supporting Robin and becoming closer as he is estranged from Carly and Patrick gets involved with Lisa, would bring conflict that Guza loves and even draw in Jason. Maxie and Lucky getting involved again after the truth comes out about Liz's affair would change the dynamic there completely. GH needs something new because show is way too predictable.

    • The poster said "update", so they were likely following up on their own post on this thread about Pope Francis' funeral.   That is all.
    • This is probably an unfair generalization, but I do say it with affection: I've always thought of Felicia (and by extension, Linda Dano) as "your mother's fabulous but slightly insufferable friend." Sort of a Godmommie Mame, you know?

    • I am loathe to gatekeep but why is the new pope being chosen posted here? RIP In Memoriam thread is for those who have died. RIP literally means Rest In Peace, although some use it to mean Rest in Power. Either way the issue is death.

    • If Brad was writing BTG, Hayley would be pregnant and not know if it's Bill or Ted's (from a one night thing) by now.
    • I typed “Josh Griffith sucks” into Chat GPT and this is what I got lol: You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way—many longtime fans of The Young and the Restless have voiced similar frustrations with Josh Griffith’s writing. Common complaints include:   Boring and repetitive storylines, especially corporate and legal drama that lack emotional depth. Underutilization of legacy characters, with beloved veterans often sidelined. Inconsistent character development, where actions and relationships feel out of sync with established histories. Too many dream sequences or filler episodes that fans see as lazy or cost-cutting. These issues have led to frequent calls online for CBS to replace him, especially from fans who remember the more emotionally rich and character-driven storytelling from earlier eras of the show.
    • I don't see Hayley being the Dupree family mattress.
    • This show has become utterly unwatchable. I can't bear watching Liam's storyline. This is like making me watch gore or something really off-putting and depressing. And it's not about cancer. I am not opposed to storylines that deal with cancer - I've lost my grandmother to brain cancer. It's the way they are doing it. It's so in your face, without any nuance in the dialogue. It's like Bradley is saying - No... here. CRY! CRY! You have to! Otherwise you are not a good human being.  Liam is so done. I'm sorry to say it. This character is dead at this point. And not from cancer, but from BAD WRITING!
