Members DRW50
I wonder how she will react to Ryan. I'm hoping she will give him aphasia, and make him wear dark sunglasses all the time. Give us some respite from the angry whispering/bug eyes. Members Y&RWorldTurner
She wasn't at DAYS more than a month before she quit though. I remember her run there starting off with great promise, but she left so fast and Langan took over and it was all shot to hell.
Members DRW50
For some reason I thought Corday pushed her out. I guess she left before he could. I can see why she would.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
I think she was also met by a great deal of interference at ATWT from PGP. I recall an interview with Eileen Fulton where she said that Broderick had a great deal of story ideas which were all rejected in story meetings with executives from PGP. They didn't seem tom let her write what she wanted to write most of the time.
Members UKBoi
Maybe she'll crack Marian out of the nut house.
Members LoyaltoAMC
I'm really optimistic about this. She's a very intelligent writer, and I just hope she's allowed to do her thing and flourish DESPITE Frons. Of course she'll have to comply with Frons's agenda of keeping Ryan, Annie, Kendall and Greenlee front and center, but if she can flesh out their characters more and give them interesting stories, as well as diversify the canvass, then that's all we can hope for. The voodoo crap and Santa Claus were all Francesca James and ABC, which had just been bought by Disney at the time. I'm also hoping that this might mean the return of Julia Barr on a more permanent basis. Lorraine and Julia are actually good friends in real life and Lorraine always wrote for Brooke (her writing got Julia her last Emmy), and with Julia returning for the 40th anniversary, well, maybe the planets are aligning for her return. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all develops.
Members dragonflies
Wonderful choice I'm truly shocked, this is awesome! Maybe they truly are trying to save this show. Question is why didn't they hire her instead of B&E and Frons
Members DRW50
I actually liked the Santa Claus story, mostly due to Eileen Herlie.
Members Jonathan
This cannot be happening to us? What did we do to deserve this good fortune? Oh wait, I know. We had to deal with McTavish, B&E, and Pratt.
Members dragonflies
LOL yeah after 3 consecutive sets of bad HW's, AMC fans truly deserve this I'm reading rumors that she is out
Members LeClerc
Never in a million years would I have imagined the events of the last few days for AMC.
Members Jonathan
Really? I don't think Pratt would dump both of them at the same time. That would be too much for me to handle, in a good way.
Members Soapsuds
Don't get too excited. I hear this is just temporary until they find a replacement for Pratt.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
It's important to note that Broderick is inheriting a very different show than the one she first inherited by herself in 1995. Will there be massive changes in the cast of characters on this show? Will their be a mass exodus of certain useless characters (which is very much needed in some cases), or will she work with these characters that are perceived as useless and develop them better? I guess we'll have to wait in see. But I'm interested in seeing what approach she takes, even with mandates from Frons.
