Melissa Archer is continuing to do such strong dramatic work.

I don't think this Mitch as Rex's father is working. I guess this is more about

but Rex comes across as a complete a@@ when we ideally would be able to feel some sort of pity for him. He's just so nasty and cold all the time. I don't understand why they did nothing to stop JPL from tanking what was supposedly such a big reveal.

Agreed on all counts.

Can I just say I didn't miss the teens one bit and Markko is the only one I am invested in at this point?

Side comment: I don't like Amelia. Can we make her go away?

And I love Viki, but she seemed too nonchalant and unemotional about Jared's death. I know she's supposed to be strong but she seemed too detached for my liking.

MA and BK rocked the house today!! They had me in tears with their good-byes to Jared.

I usually don't like the teen storylines but I really do like Markko and right now I think he deserves someone better than Langston. I got tickled at Starr's reaction to Viki winning and everyone shutting her up.

Don't like at all that they are making me dislike Bo, he has always been one of my favorites.

Can't wait to see more of Charlie choking Mitch (who I LOVE), glad Viki got there just in time.

Why are they making this about John? I was surpriused that Mitch knew so mcuha bout him including Kaitlin. I thought why would Mitch even care to research him. I hate that they are making it about whether Nat will be able to forgive him and if he will be able to forgive himself. I hate how he was was even placed in this story bc it didnt need him

Dorian wants to get revenge on whoever didnt vote for her? How STUPID! It was one vote. How is she supposed to know who voted for who among all the citizens in Llanview?

I loved Markko today. Just the perfect amount of levity in those scenes to momentarily relieve my extreme distress over Natalie's torment and anguish. Sob! I cried so hard I still have the hiccoughs. I loved the scenes with MA and JVD. Clint can be such a douche but when he's in that protective papa mode I love him. And it was the first time we've ever seen Natalie have one of the moments most women get with their "daddy" in times of tremendous loss, when they slip back into being his baby and want him to make everything better. Natalie never had that as a child and it was so tender and touching. And yes! BK was perfection as well. MA was truly awesome, and even as a huge fan I must admit I was amazed. She doesn't do the hysterical crying stuff very well, so I thought her acting choices were perfect. She worked up to a point and then pulled it back just enough and it made it even more poignant. And when she started talking about the children they'd dreamed of and how she'd wished she would die first because she didn't want to be without Jared, I lost it.

Yeah. I find that very annoying. It was weird that Mitch has done all this very thorough research about John (since they've never met before) and grasps that John absorbs everyone's pain (RME), but he doesn't seem to know about Marty. Not that I really care in the least because I think Marty is a useless character, but it worries me that this is all some contrived BS designed purely to give John and Mitch an adversarial relationship. I think that's the only reason Natalie and John's connection was resurrected. Because of course it will eventually all be about John and his pain.

Because this can't be said enough!

And this tidbit from CarlD bears repeating (but I forgot to multiquote and I'm too lazy to go back and start over)

She's been underrated for years.

I'm not a Brotherton fan so Jared can't go quickly enough for me (still peeved that the writers ruined Jess and Nash for the sake of creating drama for Jared and Nat). Natalie never needed Jared, or John. TPTB have done such a poor job casting a love interest for this character and the love interests they've given her have made her a bit of a snooze, for me. Have they forgotten how strong Natalie has always been? Heck, I still miss the evil, kick ass Nat. She was one tough person!

John made Nat weak and whiny. She spent more time trying to make the dark lord slightly less miserable - talk about a long shot. With Jared she spent her time trying to run from him, then protect him, then defend her life living with him, but so little of their relationship was about character growth for her.

I wish the writers would develop Natalie, maybe make her cutthroat in business and working at her father's side to become a dangerous corporate raider. Then, much later, bring in a strong man who challenges her, not one she has to take care of and has to 'heal'.

But doesn't that show just how strong she is. I agree, I would also like to see Natalie in a story that is all about her and not about who she's hooking up with but good luck. I foresee a quick transition to Jolie again. Kudos though to MA and BK for amazing work today. Can anyone say Emmy reels.

I hate how this is turning into a John story. Was he even around with Mitch last time? I guess he was--I don't really remember. Lotsa good stuff today but man, Destiny has got to go. Whoever said she delivered EVERY line as cute, was spot on--it's really unbearable when they actually give her anything heavier than one liners.
