Members saynotoursoap
I imagine the photo is from very early 1977, as Cindy Pickett debuted on Guiding Light in December 1976.
Members zanereed
Was Tim/T.J. still on GL at that point (I barely remember him, but I assume that's who is behind Millette Alexander)?

Members DRW50
Nice photo of Charita. Rare type of photo for her. This is the guy who played Wyatt, right? Please register in order to view this content
Members zanereed
Correct. Joe Ponazecki played Larry Wyatt at various times between the late 1970's (I think) and early 1990's.
Members zanereed
Do know approximately when T.J. stopped appearing (i.e. - stopped appearing and went to "boarding school")? I was so young then and I can't remember this period as much. Thank you.
Members Jkcdsm75
I just watched on YouTube the episode where India learns Floyd killed Andy and plans to kill her. What was the reaction at the time? Having seen Floyd in older shows this seems super out of character/bizarre. Did they just want to get rid of the actor? Who was writing GL at the time?
Members Soapsuds
Someone..I think it was Carl that said there was a writing change and they totally rewrote Floyd into something he wasn't. I remember I was shocked to find out about Floyd….this was before spoilers and magazines…lol
Members Paul Raven
Floyd was introduced by the Dobsons and Doug Marland continued the characterization.By 85 Pam Long was in charge and the actor's contract was up so the murder was pinned on Floyd.

Members zanereed
I am almost afraid to post this for fear it will jinx the channel all over again, but "SoapsNthings" are posting more GL episodes from around November 1981 up on YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGd-CMhNwvTZ_b7flg44FdA/search?query=guiding+light+1981 The quality varies, but there is more from the Mike/Alan/Tenerife storyline, as well as plenty from Quint and Nola, etc. Edited May 5, 2015 by zanereed
Members DRW50
They're up to about where they were when the channel got taken down. I guess we'll see if they upload something new (beyond the spring and December 1979 episodes they put up). Does anyone know which other episodes are available from that era? I know the full episodes of Holly's rape and aftermath must be around somewhere, and there are commercials from a 1978 episode that someone said was Rita and Ed's wedding, but I don't know.
