Members DRW50
He did for about six months after Rick Hearst left. He mostly seemed very young and green.

Members TheyStartedOnSoaps
When Rick Hearst left, they did ask Carl T. Evans if he would be interested in returning. He said no.

Members Mitch64
That would have been good and blown JFP's b.s. about having to kill her to shake up the canvas, to hell. Mo torn between her best friend and her niece? Mo standing up to Roger, while at the same time understanding that this is his grandkid...Roger and Mo growing closer because of Peter while Ed has to stand aside and pout? Shows that it was all just b.s. to free up money for Deas. I think Evans could be believed to be raised a Bauer by a single mom..I never believed Hearst was a Bauer...he would have actually made a good son of Rita and Alan's. Its funny, I see Hearst at his age now, as the perfect Alan recast.
Members DRW50
@Vee Thanks! This is incredible. Looking at the credits on that first one I will FINALLY get to see Nancy Addison as Kit Vested! I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you so much for telling us. @vetsoapfan I know we've talked about this period a few times so I assume you will enjoy them too.
Members Mitch64
He was TERRIBLE as AM. I think as a more Bauerish AM he could have worked...as you said, he was so green, I remember his first scenes and Zimmer, who, despite her scenery chewing, is always a pro, almost looking at him totally lost like, "Im trying to help you kid but youre giving me nothing." I think later on if they wrote him more as being pulled between his Bauer and Spaulding side it could have worked but folling Hearsts coroporate AM it didnt.
Members Vee
Definitely a user to keep an eye on, for any soap at this point.
Members Alan
@Vee How exciting! I can't wait to properly dig into these later.
Members DRW50
Watching the first episode. Nice to see Melinda O'Fee not as campy as she was later on but it's still a step away from the more grounded work I remember her doing in that Love of Life episode that used to be on Youtube. Did they give Anthony Call the Ellen Demming special? His hair looks unnaturally grey. I don't remember him looking like he had a dye job on OLTL. I agree - the ties to the Bauers would have made more sense to explore. With Ed gone they should have brought in Hope and Mike. Instead, we got more "A. Spaulding" and a love triangle with an angel.

Members DRW50
Watching the first episode...I didn't know we'd be getting some of the Victoria story (which I've never heard good things about). It mostly just seems dull here. Nice to see Barbara Rodell as Leslie. She certainly is styled differently than the other soap roles I've seen her in. Nancy Altman was even better than I expected. She brings a truly deranged air to the role of Kit that livens up a potentially moribund atmosphere (how many times did we need interior monologues). She left me unsettled even just from a few moments.

Members NothinButAttitude
@Vee, you have been a role this week! Thank you for the tag! Once I get through the OLTL classics, I can't wait to sit and watch these. That sucks. But he probably didn't want to commit to anything long-term.
