Exactly. Of course, she took a pay cut. They sent off her screen for 6 weeks to save money. If that is not a pay cut, I don't know what is.

Or she is using semantics. However, like I said if she did not, she is the most powerful cast member and is the main one responsible for keeping VR off Y&R according to VR.

LOL! I have heard story after story that MTS is the biggest diva and does not get along with most of the cast.

Back to my original point, NO cast member is keeping VR off Y&R. MAB simply does not want her crazy ass back.

I think that she is definitely needs the money. Y&R was her main steady income and it is gone. She was never an in demand actress demanding lots of money. Book royalties do not bring much money in unless the author sells hundreds of thousands copies like Barack Obama or Stephen King. VR told a friend of a friend at one of her book signing that she was going to back on Y&R soon around last year October so she has been trying to get back on Y&R for a very long time.

I hope that she bullies her crazy way back on to Y&R. I love me some Dru.

I've pretty much stepped out of this thread because it's turned..weird. But I wanted to add something to the idea that VR needs money.

Even though she hasn't been on television, she has maintained a pretty robust speaking schedule in support of her book and addressing the issue of foster care in general. She doesn't do those appearances for free. For somebody with her notoriety you are looking at a low five figure speaking fee. Plus she has a book coming out next year and that book probably came an advance. I'm just saying none of us know her finances.

I'd be intrigued to see what kind of atmosphere would make her a team player. But as I've already said, too many actresses (and it always seems to be the women) and minority actors of both genders are talented team players only to end up dismissed, disrespected and dumped.

That's why I say she doesn't have to be. Everyone who has a job makes the decision to be a team player or to look out for themselves. It's up to the individual to decide what makes sense for them in any given situation.
