My guess is that they paired Hogan (show hog) with Patti to tie him to Jo...since 1986 was when the show started focusing back on Jo again.  Didnt they deage Patti when the last actress came on to play her?  I think the character would have been 40 at least...and the shoe could habe cast a 40 year old and still paired her with Hogan..who was late 30s.

I don't think so, at least I don't remember it that way.  The Patti/Hogan relationship was in a vacuum of sorts, they rarely shared scenes with characters other than one another.  I don't remember Hogan having much of a relationship at all with Jo when he was with Patti.   Patti did, but if they were trying to tie Hogan to Jo, they hadn't done it before they went off the air.

I think you're mis-remembering a bit. Most of the characters were living at Liberty House after the flood and there was lots of interaction amongst the characters. Hogan and Patti definitely interacted with other characters. They were both part of the big storyline involving the McCleary patriarch Matt, which took Search for Tomorrow to Ireland a few months before the show left the air. And Hogan did interact a lot with Jo. The new opening credits initially ended with a shot of Hogan and Jo.

The guy who uploaded the live episode also uploaded backstage footage from the show's last days at Reeves Teletape (February 1985). If you like watching productions crews having fun (and grumbling about having their paychecks delayed a day), it's pretty cool, but the stars only make brief appearances.

-- He typed her name as Mary "Stewart."

-- Sherry and Marcia in hair-rollers.

-- Sherry seems the most willing to play. She gives a bottle of Chivas Regal as a going away present and also does a mock awards speech.

-- Peter Haskell also plays to the camera a bit, telling the "five stages of an actor's career" joke.

-- Angela Bassett!

-- Of note, Jerry Adler (whom I remember as Mr. Wicker on Mad About You) was the stage manager at the time.

-- Teenage Jane vamps a little, joking that she'll end up in porn.

-- Some brief, non-dialogue footage of the climax to the Vargas storyline.

Thank you for finding that. I wish @amybrickwallace still posted here as she would love to see more of Sherry.

I see her on Facebook, so I'll share the video with her.

Sherry definitely comes across as the sweetheart of the group.

Thank you! As I watched the video, I kept thinking about how warm Sherry was. She came across the complete opposite of how Marcia McCabe described when Louan Gideon died. At that time, McCabe described Sherry as "remote and not social at all."

That was the first thought that came to my mind, too. I guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Ok I love the photo shoot, but can someone answer the following questions for me-

Who is Colleen Dion playing?  I always thought her first role was Cece on Loving.

What is going on with Estelle in the final sequence?

Colleen Dion  played Evie Stone. Colleen is later replaced with Joanna Goings. The guy with Estelle is Alberto Rivera (Lloyd Battista). I think this is The San Marcos story which i don't know too much about. I think Alberto turns out to be Sarah's and Stephanie's killer. I really like Estelle a shame she was introduced so late in SFT run.

I believe the man with the blonde hair at the pay phone is Viggo Mortensen, who played Bragg in the San Marcos storyline.

That whole oh-so-80s ending sequence is everything!!!   Just watching that 3 minutes makes me want to watch the show and know more!!!  I want to know why Evie wasn't asked to be in the shoot, why she's pissed about, if the blonde guy who gets his passport stamped is Estelle's son or her lover, is that guy for real with that beard, why is he holding Estelle captive, is the airport part of the compound, is the entire nation on the bearded guy's payroll........ so much!!!!  Wonder if someone posted the next episode...

Gosh I'd forgotten what a great group of women SFT had in those days.  I loved Suzy, Liza (Sherry Mathis), and Sunny, but Jo, Estelle, Stephanie, Wendy- I really like each character for who they are and find them compelling to watch, even all these years later.  My memories of Search are few and far between, as I only watched it from age 3-7, but going back, I can see why certain things stuck with me.  I wish Wendy had, especially since I've been told stories about how angry I was at Wendy for sleeping with Warren while he was married to Suzy.  I believe that's why I often think of the Suzy that came before this one with such affection.   Though I really love the actress playing Suzy in these years now and think of her as Suzy, I remember that as a child, I didn't feel the same way about her.  I always missed MY Suzy.

I don't know if Evie was so much pissed as she was shy. The photos taken ended up being used for the "Women to Watch" contest. Evie was finalist no. #9:

I had a funny moment a few weeks ago with Teri Eoff (Suzy, seen primping in the screengrab). I totally forgot that for a few years, she was the adult female hostess of the Mickey Mouse Club re-reboot.
