Well, the story, or backstory, of Lloyd and Estelle was rewritten constantly. Estelle was initially named Aileen, when she was an offscreen character whom the newly introduced Lloyd was in the process of divorcing.  Far from “dead.”

I wouldn't think so. Even if asked I don't think Meg would be interested in going to a low rated NY based show.

Was Meg writing for Y&R at this point?

Meg was from a different era of the show.

She portrayed Liza Walton Kaslo who seemed like a different character to Liza Sentell.

Only Larry Haines remained of her family from her time on the show.

And wasn’t Martin revealed to have been the father of Steve, thus making only Michael, Alec, Chase and Rebecca full siblings?

Even TR’s name—The Runaway, morphed into Theresa Regina, yet born Rebecca Kendall. Estelle is calling her Theresa, not Rebecca, at the end of the series.

I think Rebecca was named Theresa Regina by the people who kidnapped her.

I assumed Estelle called her Theresa to honor that, since TR never really responded to Rebecca.  It was awkward.

There may be an episode that clears this all up, but I’ve yet to rediscover it.

I guess it depends on what age TR was when she left the Kendall home. I assumed she had been kidnapped. If she was just a small child, she would have changed a lot physically by the time she was 16 when she crossed paths with Lloyd again.

I always thought the runaway part occurred after she ran away from her second set of parents (the Hawkins), before she met Liza & Travis. I could be mistaken on this. In the family therapy episode that aired in June 1985, she says that Mr. Hawkins died...so maybe that is how she wound up on the streets prior to living with the Sentells.

If she had been kidnapped as a small child, how would she have remembered the Kendalls and known she could go back to them?

TR used to sing a lullaby in French to Elan. This was a song she remembered her mother (Estelle) singing to her as a baby/young child.  Some things stayed with her, some things did not.

I wouldn’t recognize a 16 year old that I hadn’t seen since they were a baby. But not recognizing people on soaps is not uncommon, especially if it serves the plot.

And I think you're right: I vaguely recollect the name Theresa Regina being used at some point.

I didn't realize that Joanna had been used for the name of Lloyd's wife at one point. That's now the second character named Joanne whose name was changed. Sometime in 1983, Billy Lewis' ex-wives were referenced as Dina and Joanna. When ex-wife #2 arrived, she was known as Reva.

The only humor I found was ongoing snipping between Hope and Ciara.  After the heck that Hope put Julie through as an adolescent, it seems like justice has been served that there is rarely a moment of peace between this mother and daughter. I take back everything I thought about faux-John in the bed.  Marlena needed someone in the room today for that to work.  It would have been odd if she was alone in her bedroom, or he was dead in the bed next to her.  It is a powerful thing to say that her life didn't really begin until she found John.  We know she loved Don and Roman, but this was special and unique. To distract from the story, I started wondering how often Hope and Marlena were on the show at the same time.? I know they shared stories, but it seems like Hope ascended during Marlena's absence, and Marlena re-appeared while Hope was not in Salem.  I also wondered if Marlena has shared more episodes with John, than Don or Roman.  Her on-screen marriage to Roman was relatively short.  But, there were a lot of breaks from the show during her marriage to John.  And she and Don were together for at least a few years.
    • It's an equal mix of feeling tortured and superior being a day ahead. Ya'll are getting a pretty good one tomorrow. It puts some things into perspective.
    • I'm sure, with it being warmer in Atlanta, they'll utilise the Assembly grounds more (they've already shown cast on set being outside).
    • I never thought Days would be the soap that I look forward to each day and have it take me on an emotional roller coaster.   Proving that good writing will bring fans back.
    • You made some valid points about Dani. Her human side is what I am the most interested in learning about her. I wanna get to know Danielle...
    • I found an update of my favorite lil Phillip from '91-93! Played by twins Scott and Shaun Markley. Neither bio mentions their stint on YR

https://cbulancers.com/sports/mens-volleyball/roster/scott-markley/457 https://nicholaslaw.org/shaun-markley/ Interestingly, AFAIK they were never listed in the cast credits. I guess it was always considered an under-5 role.  Courtland Mead was credited in '93, I guess he had more dialogue.

    • I always feel that way about Teresa episodes. I haven't paid much attention to Cheryl's name. But I usually enjoyed Teresa's work. @Cheap21 And it would be nice to see it again.
