August 14, 200916 yr Member oakdalelover, you're right, I forgot about some of the other connections. I'd also like to see Lyla again. Margo and Craig and Katie all need her to tell them what they're doing wrong. I'd love to see Connor again, one of the smartest, most real women ever on daytime. And Evan too. They carried ATWT for me in a lot of 1993-1995, along with the vets. I still cringe when I think about poor Greg Watkins being fired right after he nearly died in a boat accident. I'd also like to see Kirk again, even just for a few days to wrap up his story. Edited August 14, 200916 yr by CarlD2
August 14, 200916 yr Member I forgot about Lyla. I've wanted her back for sometime to slap Katie...LOL. There is much hidden potential with Katie and Lyla.
August 14, 200916 yr Member Yes, she came back briefly in 2001 but there were few good scenes. I HATED the rewrite of Lyla the bad mother putting Katie in beauty pageants and neglecting her on cruise ships. That crap was one of the many reasons I disliked FMB/Broderick. If they are going to do all this rewriting for Adam they can do some for Lyla too. Rewrite history for the good characters while there's still time...
August 14, 200916 yr Member I'd like to see Iva come back too, she's never really interacted with her grandchildren and I'd like to see her with NB's Lily, and see her arguing with Lucinda again.
August 14, 200916 yr Member AMC: Nina Cortlandt ATWT: John Dixon BB: James Warwick DAYS: Marie Horton GH: Audrey Hardy OLTL: Larry Wolek YR: Liz Foster
August 14, 200916 yr Member Y&R: Dru. Was there ever a more needed character anywhere? A whole part of that show has washed aboard a sandbar, and is hopelessly stuck in her absence.
August 14, 200916 yr Member Nobody at Y&R, because chances are they'd be written out of character or they'd be a pale imitation of who they once were with these current group of writers. Not to mention, a rapist if a male, or a victim if a female. and the "help" if you're a minority. Edited August 14, 200916 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
August 14, 200916 yr Member AMC: Skye ATWT: I'd go with either John Dixon or Martha Bryne as Lily B&B: Macy Days: Marlena or Mike Horton GL: Would have liked to seen Maureen again Y&R: Dru
August 14, 200916 yr Member As a (former) longtime fan of "All My Children", I always felt that there were two irreplaceable women in Pine Valley. Erica and Brooke. Letting Julia Barr go was one of the many, MANY mistakes made by TPTB. Julia Barr is one of the most ferociously talented actresses I've ever seen, not just in Daytime, but ANYWHERE. I totally agree !!
August 14, 200916 yr Member DAYS: I miss Marlena ATWT: I think I prefer the previous Paul (Scott...something...??) Be great if he came back

August 14, 200916 yr Member I refuse to pick John Dixon because there's no way Larry Bryggman's coming back as John. Therefore, my first pick would be Scott Defrietas as Andy. He'd fill a gap in the Oakdale 30-ish crowd, he'd give Paul a sorely needed friend that could balance his mental state, and he's KIM's son. I know lately it's all be "Chris, Chris, Chris"...but those recasts have been problematic to say the least. Scott can deliver the goods, and he's a fan fav. My second choice would be Tom Wiggin's Kirk--'cause I love Kirk-a-doodle.
