Members dragonflies
Not as small as some like to think or else the networks wouldn't put ANY stock in online viewers opinion's
Members Ann_SS
Looking at the 18-49 women demo, none of the ABC soaps are faring well. GH is 1.4, AMC is 1.3, and OLTL is 1.3. ABC cannot charge substantially more for GH ads than the other 2 soaps. Given that GH costs substantially more to produce than AMC and OLTL, ABC must be losing money on all of their soaps. The only way to make up for this is cutting the budget. I have been reading about more outdoor shoots and saw one today on OLTL which tells me that they are slyly cooping GL's production model. Members quartermainefan
I just don't see how anyone would expect All My Children to have good demos even with this nifty Stuart story. Just look at the soap in the last decade that had the best, most pure demos where so much of its audience was made up of young people: Passions. Then came JER's DOOL. Now take a look at AMC. There is nothing in common. I loved last week watching the Chandlers (love new Scott and Marion), but is this something 18 yr olds want to watch? Thats not how Passions and DOOL got to be a 1-2 punch in the 18-34 demo for so long.
Members Carolyn1980
AMC and DAYS are at 1.2 last week, not 1.3. If you read the press release itself (ignoring the typo for AMC and DAYS in the ranking list), it clearly states that AMC tied for 5th in the 18-49 demo at 1.2. Since NBC's average is also listed at 1.2 in the demo ranking list by network, we can assume that DAYS is the show that tied AMC. So both shows are down .1 from last week. Members ATWT_GL_fan
I hope the ratings come out today. It looks like all soaps went down.
Members Wendy
I don't know the validity of this site or whatever, and if the mods wish to delete this afterward, they can, as I do not want to break any rules. But these ratings were at another board and taken from Soaps.com. True or not is anyone's guess: The Young and the Restless 3.50 The Bold and the Beautiful 2.40 All My Children 1.80 Days of Our Lives 1.80 As the World Turns 1.80 One Life To Live 1.80 General Hospital 1.70 Guiding Light 1.
Members Carolyn1980
Based on the demos, I'd say those numbers are highly unlikely. They look to me like the hopes of an ex-GH fan, lol.

Members LoyaltoAMC
Yeah, those numbers don't sound right. I'm guessing that the ABC soaps all got 1.9 or 2.0.
Members CW82
Supposedly these are the ratings without DVR added in. Like the ones they put in the mags.
Members hannah4321
From what I understand they are net ratings.
Members Carolyn1980
If by "net," you mean "not," then you're absolutely correct, lol.
Members ATWT_GL_fan
Those numbers are always lower than the actual ratings I think they might be without dvr if those are the real ratings with dvr than soaps are prolly done for. I hope the ratings are higher than that.
Members DRW50
I've never really understood why AMC thought a murder of Adam or Stuart would bring in viewers. They bungled Josh's murder and Greenlee's "death", and killed off other people like Di with no followup, so why would fans tune in just to see if they were to make the same mistakes again? Why would fans desperately want to see a beloved character murdered for a ratings stunt? The people who run soaps now are so cynical, they assume all viewers want to see is slaughter and sleaze and ugliness. They don't bother to understand anything about soap fans.
