He went through a lot and that was 7 years ago he gave that interview. I think he is stable. Anyways the only unstable thing is that he is still friends with Brenda Dickson...LOL...well..most would say that isnt stable...LOL

At one stage,he changed his name to Zoey Drake!Sounds like a one way ticket to porn stardom.

The interview was revealing,to say the least. Hopefully,it's all in the past.

Re the show.

Victor's age should be referred to in light of the fact that he may not be there when his child is growing up and certainly would be in his 80's when the kid is a young adult.

It was refreshing when Katherine's age was given, but i doubt EB wants his or Victor's age shouted fronm the roof tops.

We get that Mac is a somber character, but the lethargy from Clem is way too much and too one note.Maybe she is not happy with the whole gig.

Bingo. They can have baby faith during one of their many reunions down the road. SC is still young enough to be able to have a child in a few years. I am not sure the show would give Shick their Cassie replacement from this story. Cassie's memory is such a dysfunctional part of why they are drawn to each other to a point of it being unpleasant. It's good soap but a three-way WTD is not how I see the replacement of Cassie going down. That's just me.

Thanks for bringing my post over from the last thread. :)

Stafford is 43. She turns 44 in September.

Since I have never been a Nick and Sharon fan, the thought of another second of air time wasted on them makes me want to make sure I have fresh batteries for my remote. Personally I never saw the chemistry and electricity between Nick and Sharon that I have seen from Nick and Phyllis. Even during the hunt for Daniel, it was evident that there was something bubbling below the surface. As for this need of MAB to revisit all these "past loves", sorry but the past is the past, we had 13 years of Nick and Sharon, after Nick and Phyllis have been together for 13 years, then Sharon can have him back!

Making Sharon's child an Abbott would make tons of storylines in the future, most notebly Sharon who is the apple of Victor's eye being tied to the Abbot's through a child!!

It is totally sexist. I think we are supposed to go by the notion that women mature faster than men and should therefore only be interested in men their own age or older, never younger. Maybe it's because Sharon has always been portrayed as years older than Nick, but I never found Phyllis to be too old for him. She is stunningly hot, and at 30, I would love to look as good when I'm her age. Hell if they decided to pair Jill and Nick I would jump up and down for joy. Some of these mature dames on this show are increadibly hot and sexy, but still I wouldn't see it as anything more than a fun fling.

My problem with Victor is that he never sticks within his age group. The Sabrina character would have probably worked if she was written as a woman in her 50's or 60's but failed because she was his daughter's age and he was already an old goat when his daughter was conceived. Same thing with Neil and this notion that him being paired with a woman in his daughter's peer group is rootable. I know at my age the last thing I want is a man who's diapers I'd have to be changing in 5-10 years.

I also saw someone in last week's thread, saying that DG is too old to be Phillip. I thought it was the other way and he's too young since Cricket, Nina and the Gang would be in their mid-40's.

Baby Faith was just a figment of Nick's imagination. They can never "replace" Cassie, and they have a child that they don't spend enough time with anyhow. Why should they be given a another child to attempt to tie they together?? shouldn't Noah be enough to bring them together as a family??

As Cassie said to Sharon, "the little girl is already here.......it's Summer"

I am sure a lot of women including me would give anything to look as hot as Michelle Stafford does, and my husband agrees!!

I liked Sharon and Nick before they bogged down in the "true love" cliche, when they were a young and very complicated couple. The current version of Nick and Sharon do nothing for me because Nick has treated her very poorly, he's used her, and somehow, we are supposed to root for them to be together, root for this child to be Nick's, because of this supposed fate of their relationship.

I would have been more drawn into them if they hadn't started having sex again, and if this wasn't about her sleeping around or being pregnant. I think the idea of Phyllis coming unglued because Nick wasn't having a sexual relationship with Sharon, but a purely emotional affair, would have been very compelling.

I don't want 13 years of Phyllis and Nick. Now freakin way. One of Shick's downfalls is that they were together too long without a break. They got old and stale because they were never allowed to be refreshed. I will gladly take a short break for Phick. I don't care for Sharon and Nick but many do. It's smart for them to be revisited. For those of us who don't like them, we'll just have to deal until our turn comes around again.

Re: Mac. CF looks like she wishes they would just go ahead and fire her. I agree we need to give her more time but I am not even pulling for Mac and Billy a little bit. There are too many other interesting women for Billy to be involved with. If we get rid of Mac or have her go bug JT that would open it up for Sharon to play spoiler for Chilly. I would love to see Phyllis and Chloe bonding over their Sharon hate. Pretty sure we will get that anyway when all the daddies other baby's mama's are notified. I cannot wait.

I don't think 3 years is long enough to tell the full story of Nick and Phyllis, considering Sharon as been in the middle of their marriage from day one! Two or three more years after this bump is over would suit me fine!!! I am just not ready for PHICK to end especially end because of Sharon.

as an older woman (52 tomorrow) married to a younger man (40 in August), sometimes it takes a younger man to keep up with an older woman, in all aspects! and trust me age is just a number!

I don't see this big age difference between Nick and Phyllis that some see, what I see with Nick and Phyllis is opposites do attract! they complete each other, she now has the family that she has always wanted and craved, and with Phyllis, Nick has a partner that stands behind him 100%, when Victor fired him she was the one that stood next to him and behind him and supported him in whatever he wanted to do.

Y&R has too many age inappropriate couples. Sharon does make Jack look old. He should be a woman Mary Jane's age. Phyllis looks too old for Nick. Both Sabrina and Ashley make Victor look old as the hills. Lily makes Cane look like a cradle robber. Lily looks too young to be in a triangle with Billy and Chloe much less in a romance with Cane. Cane should have been paired with Sharon, not Lily. JT should have never been moved out of the younger set since Thad still looks in his 20s. He could have then been a possible love interest for Lily.

Does this mean that Y&R should not have an older woman/younger man romance? Of course not, but Y&R could do more with its couples if they were in the right age bracket. Also, it would cut down on the annoying two women/one men triangles. Soaps are viewed by mostly women. Two men fighting over a woman is far more thrilling than two women fighting over a man. Cane and Nick should be fighting over Sharon. Daniel and JT fighting over Lily and/or Amber. JT and Billy fighting over Chloe.

Yeah, but I'm not interested in watching Anna Nicole Smith's life play out on my soaps. That's a straight male fantasy. If I have to watch they should at least make clear the woman is a goldigger with a plan. But trying to sell me on the idea that a woman who looks like Sabrina is soooo in love with a man as old as Victor is just  It wouldn't be if it were an occasional thing, but it happens all the time. As far as I'm concerned they can save that kind of straight male ego propping for porn. Just sayin'.

    • They weren't in town, but Fletcher worked at the paper (and we saw anniversary Journal headlines for the 50th, although I don't remember if Roger was one of them), and I'd think Alex would have at least heard of him due to the damage he did to Spaulding only a few years before her return to the fold. I know I have to remember it's not real life, of course.
    • YES. The videos being uploaded to Spauldingfield are almost to the point where Alan is reintroduced. They're already talking about the guy he pretends to be, and yes, he returns at a masked ball. In fact, that masked ball is almost beat for beat the same as the masked ball where Alex was introduced! Get a new schtick. Before the Kobe era, that's pretty much what they did. Characters would just show up. Maybe other characters would talk about them for a while--the Chamberlains, Tony, Maureen, Andy, Kelly, Carrie--but then they would just appear. When Hope came back, she simply knocked on Bert's door and said something like, "Hi, Grandma, I'm home again." No particular fanfare. Sometimes it would be a bit dramatic--Jennifer and Morgan were introduced when Mike accidentally crashed into their car, for instance, and Alan and Elizabeth were introduced through Jackie's flashbacks when she was remembering giving up Phillip for adoption. Nola was involved in the Roger return. Roger's return in 1980 was very dramatic, but in a way that made total sense. He was trying to kidnap a child, so dressing up as a clown did not seem crazy. The mask bit was not only silly, it didn't even make sense. Alex never knew him, so there was no reason for him to be masked in front of her. Yeah, she knew OF him, but there's that phenomenon called cognetive dissonance. If you see someone outside of an expected situation, you probably won't recognize them, especially if you never met them in person and think they're dead. I bet a CIA spook like Roger would be familiar with that concept. And he didn't have to be skulking around SF for months. Again, I will cut Long a little slack--it was not her idea to bring back Roger, she was told to do it. She never wrote for the character. It was something that was not planned. They originally went to Zaslow to offer him the role of Alan. He, of course, turned them down because that was a ridiculous idea, but then he suggested coming back as Roger. At such short notice, it's not strange his return was not handled well.
    • Eh...but neither had been in town. Know the name Roger Thorpe? Sure. But Alex would have gone crazy trying to memorize all of Alan's co-conspirators/lovers/wives and Fletch didn't even know Roger/Adam was on the island, IIRC. But who knew or should've known each other is always a little dicey when people come back to town.
    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
